We WILL NEVER GO BACK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/14/11
We've never had a problem with a super 8 before but this place was disgusting. The paint was chipping, the doors to go up the stairs were noisy, there was no light in the stairways at night so it was creepy walking by yourself. THE SHEETS WERE DIRTY! THEY WOULD NOT REPLACE THEM when we called at 9 pm they accused us of making them dirty and we hadn't been in the room all day she pretty much called my husband a liar. We were supposed to stay two days but we checked out at 9 am after sleeping on our towels on the bed and i fornatly bought pilliow cases while out and we used them to put our heads on.

RUDEST PEOPLE AND WORST HOTEL EVER!!!
By Wickyd, 6/19/10
I stayed here for 2 nights for the SugoiCon convention last year and it was horrible. We came back to the hotel from the convention around midnight only to discover our room was full of bed bugs when we tried to sleep. I told the front desk and they admitted that they had just had an exterminator in to kill them but apparently he didn't kill them all. Then the 2 guys acted like I was a b**** because I asked to change rooms and that I wanted to check the room before we moved all our stuff. I got them to find us a new room but my friend and I had to move all our stuff without any help (in the rain btw) to the new room. The rooms are kind of dirty, the continental breakfast was minimal at best, the internet sucked and when I asked to speak to a manager about the conditions, they were never available. I asked for a discount due to the hardships and they treated me like crap. Even after I left when I tried to call the manager after our stay (3 times) they would not answer or were not there. I wrote their corporate office and only got a letter with an apology from corporate- not the hotel. I want everyone to know they SHOULD NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL. Drawbridge Inn is about 50 feet away and is a much better hotel with nicer staff. Yes it costs a lot more but with Super 8 they charge 1/2 to 2/3 the price of Drawbridge but you get nothing but lousy rooms and bad attitude in return. SPEND YOUR MONEY WISELY- DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL EVER!!!!

NEVER STAY HERE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/3/09
This was the worst i've ever stayed in. The refrigerator didn't work and we were told we couldnt get another one. However, then when we decided to lay down...OH MY GOD!!!! There were bugs all over and in the bedding. When I first called down the front desk was rude and told me there was nothing she could do. Then I decided to go down in person and after ranting and raving I got another room. Needless to say after the infestation of bugs(chiggers) , I couldnt sleep and couldnt wait to leave. Also, the rooms don't come equipped with irons. There is one iron available at the front desk for hotel guest to borrow. Well we had to go buy an iron to use because the irone was loaned out. I hope the health dept closes them down.

Would stay again if nothing else was available
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/13/09
We were first given a room in which the TV didn't work. Before troubling the desk clerk, we checked to make sure the TV was plugged in, tried turning it on manually and even replaced the batteries in the remote control with our own. I called the desk, explained all we had tried to make the TV work and requested another room. To the clerk's credit, he came to the room promptly, but he checked everything as though he didn't believe us. He did give us another room, though, and apologized for the inconvenience. The control settings on the heating/AC unit were worn away or removed, so getting the temperature to a comfortable level was a matter of trial and error. Overall, the place was clean enough, but much in need of refurbishing and appliance updates. An OK place to sleep for the night, but I would not recommend it for anything else.

Do Not Stay at This Motel
By qsuzi, 7/23/07
This was truly the most filthy, unkept, useless motel I have ever stayed at. None of the vending machines worked, the room was so dirty I almost slept in our car. It looked like dried waste on the bathroom wall. Room had not been vacuumed. Sheets looked and smelled like they had not been changed. Pool was dirty, grounds were dirty. I was a travel agent for 20 years and have traveled all over the country, I have never seen anything this disturbing in all my years as an agent. The Kentucky health department should investigate this facility.

Don't stay more than a day
By Tim, 7/29/05
The Good: The rates were reasonable, the TV was big, and you can purchase slightly discounted tickets to attractions at the office. The pool was clean and the key card worked. The ice machine also worked. The rooms also had a mini-fridge and a microwave. The Bad: The staff was terrible to deal with -- rude on the phone and never, ever went out of their way to help you. It was almost as if it was an inconvenience for them. The pool was only four feet deep. The toilet handle was broken, the sink stopper didn't work and the room had bugs...lots of them. A person who stayed the same time I did had their car broken into also. The motel also attracts many other people whose intent isn't a quiet night's stay. Also, the "continental breakfast" was coffee and bagels. Period. Bottom line: If you are on the road between Cleveland and Atlanta and need a place to stay for a night, this is your place. If you want to bring your family along, keep on driving and stay somewhere else.
