Family Motor Inn, Sullivan

i spent a night with my girl up there and the beds were the best in the world. The service was awesome. They deliver liquor and beer at no cost. The family serves nice food to everybody (homeless/crackhead). I highly recommend this place to all my homies who are having a hard time in this bad economy. I knows its hard out here for a pimp when he is trying to get the money for the rent...with the Cadillac and the gas money spend there is a whole lot a bitches jumpin ship

I JUST SPENT THE LAST TWO HOURS TRYING TO CALL AND FINNALLY GOT AN ANSWER . THE MONTHLY RATES ARE OUT RAGEOUS AND THE MANGER IS NOT A PEOPLE PERSON I THINK THAT THEY NEED TO DO AWAY WTIH THE NON ENGLISH SPEAKING JERK AND REPLACE HIM WITH AN AMERICAN PERSON WHO CAN SPEAK ENGLISH I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANY ONE THAT WOULD ASK ME ABOUT THIS MOTEL

The proptry is durty, the rooms are not clean at all. Spirders are in the rooms. this place should be ran by an american and not by people that belive that high prices and durty proptry and rooms are the common thing for american people to live in. SPEND YOUR MONEY AT AN AMERICAN RAN HOTEL/MOTEL

I HAD TRIED CALLING MANY TIMES W/IN THE PAST 30 MINUTES AND COULD NOT GET THROUGH. I COULD HAVE HAD AN EMERGENCY FOR ONE OF THE GUESTS WHO ARE STAYING AT THE MOTOR INN AND I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET THROUGH. WHEN I HAD ASKED FOR THE OWNER'S PHONE NUMBER TO FILE A COMPLAINT HE REFUSED. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE STAYING AT THIS PLACE B/C THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THE RULES ARE FOR LIVING IN AMERICA!! NO I'M NOT A RACIST BUT IF SOMEONE SHOULD ASK FOR THE OWNER'S PHONE NUMBER WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO HAVE IT. NEED SOME AMERICANS WHO KNOW WHAT THE HELL THEY ARE DOING!!!

I can't believe that customers just stopping in for a night would know that its under new management. I think management are leaving the 5 star reviews

We had a terrible experience. For a continental Breakfast they laid out 2 dry doughnuts and a pot of lousy coffee. There was a brown recluse spider in our shower and they offered us bug spray. There was a giant patch of plaster missing from our ceiling, and it proceeded to leak. The beds were filthy, eventhough the sheets were clean. But the matresses themselves were streaked with brown. There was shower scum all over the shower walls. The tile in the bathroom was falling off. The price was higher when I got there vs what they quoted me when I made my reservation. We never got our room cleaned, so had to go to the front desk and get our own towels! The vending machines were empty. There are folks that live in this motel, and sit out front with their doors and windows wide open - very trashy people might I add. The pool was full of green slime ... hasn't seen a cleaning in years I'd say. Overall, this is the worst motel I have ever stayed in. Very disappointed.

I love these place. Firednly and efficient management, clean rooms, out standing service. Location and ambiece is perfect for Mermac vacation. I recommend this place over any other for that 2 days getaway from Chicago.

This place is a great place to stay! First of all i dont agree with the other reviews because that sounds totally different than how the place actually is. The rooms are very clean and I got service everyday that I was there. Also the price was a very good deal. The room had cable which is a wonderful thing to me!!! Its a great place to bring your family to.

When I initially called this motel, I was interested in the daily rates. Since I am a student and I needed to stay in Sullivan for several days, I inquired about what kind of discounts were available. The manager stated that the rate was $36.00 (with tax), but if I stayed at his motel for several days, he would give me a better deal. However, this was not true when I arrived. The manager told me that the rate I would be receiving was "already discounted." First red flag... My room was small, quiet, and rather dark. Though it appeared clean on the surface, the sheets had several stains and the carpet was filthy (my once white socks proved this to me). After staying in the room one night, I came back after a full day of work to find that the room was NOT serviced (no bed-making, new towels, vaccuming... nothing) while I was gone. Second red flag... Later that evening, I was sitting outside of my room talking on my phone when I was approached by a large man who insisted that I "get to know him" and give him my phone number. After refusing several advances, I retreated to my room and locked the door. As a young woman staying alone, I did not feel safe at this motel. I decided to check out the next day, even though I had two more days left that I already paid for. When I did check out, I asked to be refunded for the days that I would not be staying there. The manager told me that there were no refunds given. It was then that I noticed that he had overcharged me an extra day. When I confronted him about that, he WAS able to refund that portion ONLY. Overall, if you enjoy staying in a dark, cheap, and dingy hole with shady strangers roaming about, then Family Motel Inn is the place for you. If not, go next door to the Baymont Inn... it's worth the extra money.

i loved this place i thought it was great it is under new managment so its not as bad as the other people said it was the rates are great too. vending machines were in a great spot, and wasnt locked up or anything i had a great time swimming also stay at this motel it is affordable and a great place!
