Nasty hotel!!!
By ,
Cleanliness was awful. Blood stain on skirt of bed. Blow dryer above coffee pot had what looked like pubic hair all over it. Showers were nasty. Holes in the drywall. One good thing is we got our money back.

Will never go back again.

Like- the price and availability for labor day weekend; dislike - first they gave us a room that was already rented to another couple and scared them half to death when we were trying to get into the room after dark and the key wasn't working, then we found out why; the carpet made our socks black so my baby could only be held or kept on the bed, noway crawling on the floor; there was black mold all over the bathroom and shower curtain; we spent the least amount of time there as possible

Will never stay at Super 8 again!
By ,
This was supposed to be a 2 Diamond AAA Motel. We stayed (2 adults, 2 kids under age 12)in a room with two queen size beds and roll-away sofa. Bathroom had 2 towels, sofa was filthy, air conditioning was really loud. I am an AARP member which I don't think the discount was given, not noted on bill. Asked about children 12 and under staying free which was in their brochure. Their response was "All the same, you have big room". Our cost was over $90 with tax. This was one of the worst places our family has ever stayed in. By-pass Vandalia, OH Super 8 and find a decent Inn or Suite. The prices are the same.

worst super 8 ever
By ,
My wife, daughter and i were in Dayton at a convention and had reservations at this super 8 (March 1, 2008) for several weeks. We checked in with some confusion, they lost our reservations and were under new management. We went to the room and found dirty bedding, hair on the counter, a wine bottle on the floor (next to the bed) and a dirty bathtub. It was like the room was rented out for a party just before we arrived. I went to the desk to complain, they sent us to a room without a working heater, then to a room used for people with pets on the ground floor. We found this room barely acceptable and spent the night. The next morning, we found the breakfast sparse, so we went somewhere else. We have stayed in Super 8s all across the nation and this one was 10 worse than any we stayed in. Never again.

My 2nd stay here
By ,
Overall the rooms are clean & the staff are nice but there was some kind of convention going on and we had to stay on the 3rd floor even though I BEGGED for anything closer to my car as I had my 6 month old daughter with me and I had to pack a diaper bag, heavy portable playpen that my daughter sleeps in while I travel,a cooler full of baby bottles, sodas and extra baby formula, baby blankets, etc it was rough going up and down the evlevator and stairs time after time,I was so tired from hauling items back and forth to my car that I didn't even feel like trying out the pool so next time if I can't get a better accessible room I will stay somewhere else.

I've stayed in worser places
By ,
It is conveniently located to three different restaurants in fact there's even a McDonald's right beside of it withing walking distance.I travelled with my 5 month old daughter and there was no microwave in the room, however there was one in a private lobby for employees only and the staff was very helpful in unlocking the lobby door and letting me warm the baby bottles both nights that I stayed there.I requested extra pillows, towels and washcloths and they provided them right away. The room was clean except there was ALOT of dust under and around the tv and around the beds needed to be vaccummed a little better.I would stay at this motel again and probably will do so.
