A wonderful place to get rid of stress!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/06/09
My wife and I found Cambria shores inn quite by accident while on our way to a family wedding in washington state in the summer of 2006.We decided to take the coastal route and my back went out during the trip.I coudn't even stand to sit in the car the pain was so bad.So we got on the phone to local hotels and as luck would have it we found a room at Cambria shores. As I convalesced by the sea my wife spent a small fortune at the many shops in town.Tim was especially nice and we try to return every year to let go of our stress.Always a wonderfull experience.

LOVED IT!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/23/08
Cambria Shores Inn is the best hotel to stay at in Cambria! My family and I stayed their for 4 days. Let's start with the employees: we were treated like family with their very freindly staff who are willing to help you and answer any questions you have about the hotel or where the best place to eat is.The lobby is so cute it is like a little hut inside all nice and cozy with refreshments and every day they have fresh brownies and cookies along with movies you can take to you room to watch. Our hotel room was absolutley wonderful because our room faced the ocean. This was one of the cleanest hotels i have stayed in at the beach. It had comfy beds, a heated fireplace, a breakfast table, and the shower was stone tile with a huge shower head. Along with all of this every morning about 8 o'clock they deliver a breakfast basket to your room filled with yummy things. This is also one of the few hotels that is dog friendly. They have treats for your dog, a wash area and blankets for your dogs too. I loved this hotel alot and I plan to visit back soon again.

Honeymoon worth waiting for!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/06/08
My husband and I were 8 months late getting our honeymoon and I came across Cambria Shores and just LOVED it from the beginning.. I feel the price was wonderful considering how close to the beach it is!! It was VERY relaxing for my husband and I and even though we don't have a dog and it is a dog friendly place you would not even know if a dog has been in your room! It was SUPER clean and just perfect for us. Tim was wonderful and kind and they have a great book in the lobby of places to eat and shops in town! At night we took advantage of the gorgeous sunset and sat out there with our glasses of wine and just enjoyed ourselves! So much in fact we WILL be back soon!

Unbelievable Motel Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/21/07
My husband and I stayed at Cambria Shores Inn in Cambria, CA, for 3 days (Mon, Tues, Weds) in Oct. 2007 in 3 rooms in less than 24 hours. After settling in the 1st room and unpacking everything, I tried to turn on the heater, but it didn’t work. Since the temperatures get down to about 45 degrees this time of year, I notified management who couldn’t get it to work either. They reluctantly moved use to a 2nd room, after I explained that my 76 year-old husband is disabled husband would not be able to tolerate cold temps at night. He is on oxygen, has a heart condition, and must get around using either a wheelchair or electric scooter (we have a CA auto disabled placard). The manager said we could stay in the 2nd room only one night, since someone else had it booked for Tues. night. He further stated that he wasn’t sure where we could stay on Tues. night, because they didn’t know if the heater in the 1st room would be fixed by then and the other rooms were booked. Not having heard anything from management by 11:30 a.m. Tues., I went to the office and they told us we had to move to a 3rd room which was now available. I again protested that these moves were hard on my husband and why couldn’t the people booked for Room No. 2 be given Room No. 3, since these rooms all appeared to be the same. They said they wouldn’t do that and we had to move. So, we were put in our 3rd Room, all in less than 24 hours. We would have moved to another motel, but since we were traveling with a small dog, it would probably have been impossible to find other accommodations at the last minute in Cambria. When I checked out on Weds, I again expressed my displeasure of their treatment of a disabled person. They offered me a “consideration” of $25 off our next stay. I asked him why he thought we would ever stay there again. We paid full price for our room ($538 for 3 nights) with no discounts. I have never been treated so badly at any other motel or hotel. The rooms were nice, but with uncomfortable chairs, and the place is pet friendly.

Beautiful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/20/07
Upon checking the rates,I paid $173.00last Sunday.August 12th/2007. Yet it is listed as $85.00 per night. Very confusing. Tim and Patrick were very friendly and the breakfast basket was lovely. As Canadians I am curious why we had to pay so much. Frances De Rose Scarborough Ontario Canada

Our home away from home!
By Snoopy - Leslie, 07/10/06
My family & I have been staying here for many years. It is by far the best place to stay on Moonstone Beach & what can I say, location, location, location!!!! The owners & staff are the geatest people in the world. I only wish that we could be a part of that family everyday. I highly recommend staying here if you want to feel like you are home.

Excellent experience
By MJ, 07/10/06
We took our two yellow labs to Cambria this weekend. It was the first time they have ever gone out of town with us. What a great experience! We checked in with Shawn. He was very helpful and even pointed me to the local Shell Gas Station of all places for a great selection of wines (good wines, not the twist-top type either). Back to the hotel with dinner and wine to watch the sunset directly across the street (dogs on the grass with us). What's great is almost everyone else had dogs too... And the place is clean. Everyone picks up after their dogs. Up the next morning to a breakfast delivered to the room (part of staying there). There is also always cookies/munchies in the office, right next to the coffee. The area is verydog friendly. We took the girls with us to both Cayucos for their beach experience and to Madeline's Saturday night on the patio for dinner (make a reservation - there is only one table out there). All-in-all, a great experience. We will be back.

could it get any better?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/01/05
upon entering the premises, i knew that this was a special place. pretentious?,no. upscale?,no. a visual feast?,no. welcoming, warm, and inviting? a big YES. tim and paul made us feel right at home, explaining the never-ending plate of home-baked cookies that remain in the office for all to partake, the appetizer tray that is fresh and delicious, the coffees, the sparkling cider, and the movies that are available to guests. not to mention the breakfast that is served in the mornings, right to our comfortable room in a large wicker basket. but that's not all. cambria shores inn LOVES dogs, and dogs there were,,,,everywhere, in every size and color and breed. and these dogs are honored with a never-ending supply of dog cookies and clean grounds. not to mention the photo albums in the office full of portraits of the fine four-leggeds that have had the pleasure of staying there. and of course, the fine views of the pacific were right there to be enjoyed from the lovely adirondack chairs situated on the plush lawn. as their motto goes, "renew your spirit"; and mine certainly was.
