Don't go in the back door!!!!

When we booked our room in Anderson, my husband was impressed with the hotel, but stated that we would have to wait 1 1/2 hours to get into our room, even though it was 3:00 p.m. We did some shopping but it was pouring rain, so since he had the key card we went in early. Upon opening the side door by our room, we were shocked. The carpet in the hallway was stained, filthy and smelled musty. I looked like a pipe had burst or there had been a flood. They should have taken the carpet up because it was disgusting. We proceeded onto our room, not knowing what to expect and found a "ozone cleansing" machine whirring away in our room with 1/2 hour left on the time dial. We wondered why the ozone needed cleansing but were hesitant to leave in the pouring rain. The last straw was the mould on the ironing board in the closet and the baseboards with swelling from water. Management needs to do some serious housekeeping on this end of the hotel as it is a nice place but no one wants to sleep in mould.
