Coral Beach Rotana Resort Hurghada, Safaga

this was the WORST holiday i have ever been on, i went with my friend we were two 17 year old girls we were constantly sexually harassed by the staff to a point we were terrified to leave our room, out holiday was spoilt most f all after ordering a facial and the man carrying out the treatment started groping ur brests and pushing his erection against us, not stopping despite being asked firmly to stop and being told we had boy friends, after making a formal complaint and being reassured the men had been disciplined they were free to walk up to us and talk to us in reception in plain view of the thomas cook rep, who did nothing to calm us despite us being inconsolable and distraught after the way various members of staff treated us. if you are a girl DO NOT COME HERE unless u have a huge boyfriend to look after you. . . and even then dont ever walk any where alone, i can not believe they are allowed to act in such a way.

We spent a week in this hotel at the beginning of March 2009. It's a really nice place to stay, about 12 km from the airport. The bungaloows are very comfortable, clean, and not far from the main restaurant. In front of the restaurant and main lobby there ia a nice terrace with a beautiful sea view. There is alot of greenery and beautiful flowers everywhere.Fantastic! It takes you only 5 minutes to get to the long sandy beach where you can get free deck chairs and towels. There is also a small bar and some souvenir stands. Everything is very clean. The staff is incredibly friendly and polite. Food is delicious!!!!!!!!!!!! Every day you can try something new. Yo cen even get your personal waiter who takes care for you every day. In the bar there is live music every night - the performer is fantastic.We really enjoyed listening to him. There is also a small disco in the main building. And a lot of souvenir shops. In general, the hotel is really nice and romantic with the polite and very friendly staff. We will defintely go back again!

Total relaxation............ The beauty salon staff were terrific!!!!!! Try the pedicure / foot massage..Mmmm. Shame the glass front was replaced with wood... blocks the view outside and the light inside but this has not detered the staff from giving their best. Not too much to do for teenagers, can become bored, Found all restaurant staff and pool / shisha bar staff very pleasant. Love the fact that the hotel is not 'high rise' or too big. Rooms are fantastic and kept very clean. Food reasonably good... some days better than others. Can't wait to return... hopefully October.

why thomas cook ruin theyre reputation on a place like this is beyond our understanding, other than the amount of people they charge twice to get out of it,and put you in a better hotel. thomas cook even acknowledge the rat problem is not dealt with as well as here in the uk. it isnt dealt with at all by our findings and the revues on here.as for the food i would say bring your own it was awful, and your so far out in the stix you are trapped without even a shop.the developement really needs the new bit being built now hopefully they will demolish the existing clubhouse and train the staff in hygiene and basic manners as they are over friendly and too keen to rip you off. Thomas cook has ripped us off for around £720 and spoilt our holiday on that trip not including the flight part of the package, but we have resolved this issue as we use more than 100 trips to hurghada per year between the group so now we dont use thomas cook anymore instead we use jetair at almost half the cost with the flights and we book non thomas cook acomodation seperately and we are all much happier and with more money in our pockets.if you are a not so mobile person or worse disabled this is not the place for you as the trip hazards, and poor lighting inside the acomodations and in the wintermonths children would likely be bored silly.if they are not ill.ps my star rating of this place is awful but average is the poorest rating it would accept while doing this revue.

if some say it is disadvantage that the hotel is far from the town, to me it is rather a plus, because the beach is enormously huge and not crowded. you can enjoy snorkling among coral reefs starting right from the beach - no need in diving excursions. you can feel absolutely free - there is probably the only known clothes-free beach in this part of the world. just you, sun, beach and marvellous underwater nature - that is what one can appreciate there!!!

The place is clean, green, and merry...A lot of small gardens, a place for kids' activities, a daily show, a nice pool and an excellent large restaurant...Everybody there is really friendly (even other guests!!) ... Rooms, room service, and cleanliness are excellent... The place maybe expensive for a 4 * rated Hotel but it gives the value of a 5 * rated hotel, so its a good deal.... The only drawback is the location, its not close to town's center and the hotel's beach is not as fun as its pool area...
