HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/17/11
First off, my wife and I have stayed at this resort before. Her parents are owners in the Diamond Resort which has The Suites at Fall Creek as one of their properties and we were even considering buying into this particular property as well before this weekend, but we never had issues like we experienced during this recent stay...one thing is for sure, we will NOT be returning. I booked a one-bedroom suite with full kitchen/living room and a jacuzzi tub for a romantic getaway. Our room was on the second floor and upon climbing the steps, we noticed that the siding and windows were covered with dead bugs, mildew, and mold. The inside of the suite appeared to be clean but upon further inspection, we found that not to be the case. Each suite has a screened in balcony that has sliding glass doors and the first thing we noticed was that there was a 10inch gap between one of the glass panes and the siding on the porch. Upon further inspection, I saw that some of the brackets that are supposed to hold the pane in place were missing. We called the front office and they sent a maintenance man up to fix it...not a big deal. I also had to kill a couple spiders that had made a home around the TV, but I just attributed that to the fact that the glass pane was out of place for who knows how long. Afterwards, my wife and I went out to get dinner and returned to our room to eat and have a nice relaxing evening in the jacuzzi tub. My wife went to close the curtains before we sat down to eat and something, which was the size of a large mouse, fell out from the top of them and onto one of the chairs. Upon further inspection, I found it to be a giant clump of hair that looked like it came from a drain of a tub...needless to say, we lost our appetite. While my wife was calling the front office to let them know of the disgusting wad of hair that we had found, I noticed that the jacuzzi tub looked dirty. I ran my hand on the bottom of it to see if it was just a stain and my fingers turned black. We told the front office about this too and they said that they would send someone up to clean the tub and that they would have maintenance come up and look at the hair. The person also told us that they would e-mail their manager and that we would receive a call the next morning from him/her regarding our complaints. The maintenance guy did show up and he was pretty disgusted about the hair as well and said that he would take it down to show the front office. No one ever showed up to clean the tub... We never received a call from the manager the following day and when we went to check out the next day, they tried to get us out of their as fast as they could. We asked to speak to a manager and we spoke to the Front Desk Manager who was apologetic for everything that happened, but told us that since we booked through RoomStays and not "Through Him", there was nothing that he could do to refund us at all on our stay. He said that the most he could offer was a $50 gift card but said that the General Manager of the resort could do more. He said that he would have the GM call us when they got in for the day. We waited 3 hours and then received a call from the Front Desk Manager again (not the GM) and he said that the GM talked with their Corporate and that they weren't willing to do anything else for us except offer us the $50 gift card. We told them we would be contacting the Diamond Resort's Corporate office ourselves and that was about the only time that he actually sounded concerned about the whole matter. He pleaded with us to not contact them and to just take the gift card with which we told him that he could send the gift card out if he wanted to, but we were still calling the Corporate Office. As I said above, we will NOT be staying at this resort ever again. This place made our nice getaway a total nightmare and I never thought I would be so happy to get home.

Buyer Beware....
By Sarah, 9/1/09
Was a super nice looking room... until futher inspection. was a dirty cleaning rag hanging over the shower curtain, not a big deal (thought oh thats good they cleaned) Spiders Spiders and more Spiders! Everywhere outside though, still not too bad. Wasn't until I returned home and discovered that my husband and I both have head lice. We don't have kids and the only place we were was this room. I called them and not a oh! I'm sorry I will get our housekeeping to check this out, but our security will call you for a report. (I'm sure that they have to do this, but she could have been nice about it.) Anyways, It was a nice room, just BUGS!!!

Great hotel, but will keep options open..
By stefanie, 7/5/09
The hotel did have its pros and cons, but no place is perfect. The location of the hotel was great. It is located off of the strip but only about 2 miles out of town. You didn't have to hear and deal with all the traffic once at the hotel. We stayed in a studio room which suited our needs but if going with kids i would definately go with a larger room. Other reviews stated that there was a pest problem, not enough linens, and the light from the walkways was troublesome. During our stay we didn't have a pest problem and we had enough linens. I will agree that the light from the walkways was a little annoying but we were still able to sleep with no problem. The only thing that would really not make me want to go back is that the walls are super thin!!! Please take this into consideration!! Other than that the stay was wonderful. The staff was extemely helpful and nice. It wasn't difficult finding a place to park either, which was really nice.

Terrible. Don't go here.
By john, 6/30/09
We arrived (traded from a marriott thru interval) and were welcomed by an army of spiders and spider webs. My wife had to clean the cracks in the bathrooms. We had to duck our heads when we leave the rooms to avoid all of the spider webs. Interval completely misrepresented this place and I hope my review can save a nice family from coming here. There were a million other issues like the toilet sized hot tub is filled with bromine instead of chlorine. The staff was terrible. The weight room is smaller than a closet and they don't allow your kids to even use it. My whole family agrees.

LONGTIME OWNER
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/20/07
WE LOVE OUR TIMESHARE IN BRANSON AND HAVE OWNED AT THE PLANTATION AT FALL CREEK FOR OVER 12 YEARS. ALSO, RCI HAS BEEN EXCELLENT IN ARRANGING DEPOSITS AND EXCHANGES. JUST RECEIVED OUR ANNUAL MAINTENANCE FEE BILLING AND FIND IT NOW IS ONE OF THE HIGHEST ACROSS THE NATION; OF COURSE, THE EXPLANATION WAS A LOW RESERVE FUND. ALSO, OUR NOTIFICATION THAT IT IS NOW A DIAMOND RESORTS PROPERTY CAME WITH THE BILL. NEW OWNERSHIP, OUTRAGEOUS INCREASES IN THE MAINTENANCE FEES WILL PROMPT US TO UNLOAD OUR PROPERTY IF WE CAN FIND A BUYER THAT STILL THINKS IT IS A GOOD DEAL. OVER THE YEARS, OUR EXPERIENCE WITH OUR TIME SHARE HAS BEEN VERY POSITIVE, BUT CANNOT ACCEPT THE FACT THAT IMPROVEMENTS & MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS HAVE COME "ONE FELL SWOOP"--SEEMS SUSPICIOUS THAT ALL OF A SUDDEN MAJOR CHANGES ARE NEEDED WITH NEW OWNERS. THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THIS EVENT.

Very nice place we stayed in a 2 bedroom condo on a time share preview deal very clean and spacious we were on 4th floor so noise wasnt a problem from people above us we were top floor
By texforex, 10/21/07
We attended a timeshare presentation was sorta hard sale but I have been before so I expected it, you just have to be able to say no to their today only deal which I had no problem doing at 43k buy in cost. LOL Anyway stayed 4 days and 3 nights for 39bucks well worth that and much more. The studio which was part of the 2 bedroom lock out condo was very noise I slept in their and could hear every move my wife made through the thin wall early the next morning cooking breakfast as well as the tv and washer and dryer running. My advice dont get stuck with just a studio you will no be happy because of the thin walls. Also most of the studios are on the front side which have bright and I do mean bright lights on all night with only mini blinds which dont block the light at all just for fun I tried reading with inside lights off at 3am and had no problems doing so with 50yr old eyes

Group Stays
By Bill, 8/24/07
My Car Club Traveled to Fall Creek Resort several times in past years. I have to say. It is and has been a very good place to stay. We enjoyed the ability to stay close to the other people in our group like in the same buildings or one that was adjacent to it. Breakfast on the deck in the mornings was special as it overlooked Tanincomo (sp) and the fog on the water early in the morninsg wa sawesome to watch fishing boats float by your condo in total silence as the currents carried the fishermen down the river. It was veyr pretty. Our group was about 40 people and every one of us enjoyed it. We are planning a trip back to Branson and if we can stay at Fall Creek resort. We will. I higly recommend Fall Creek Resort. City Heat Cruizers of Oklahoma- OKC

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/23/07
I loved the rooms by the water. The whole set up with living, kitchen, bedroom, and bath is undeniable neat. I really enjoyed the big tub and walk in closet. I can't wait to go back.
