If you like camping with the mosquitoes and other flying and crawling things . . .

We have stayed at other Residence Inns and have thoroughly enjoyed the two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, livingroom with pull out sofabed and a gas fireplace, but although this hotel had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a kitchen and small living area, staying here was a nightmare. The ceiling fan was dangling from the ceiling and did not work which was unfortunate since the temperature outside was in the 90's and the suite was extremely uncomfortable. The closet doors did not slide and they were sticky. One of the bathrooms had a door that not only didn't lock but it didn't even close. The refrigerator in the kitchen had a pool of water at the bottom and when I tried to adjust the thermostat to make it colder it came right out in my hand. The upholstery on the sofa bed was filthy. But all of this wasn't the worst part of our experience. We spent a good deal of our night trying to exterminate the multitude of mosquitoes, flies and other crawly things that inhabited our rooms. I guess the fly swatter in the front closet should have been a dead giveaway that this experience was not going to be positive unless you like the amenities that come with camping in the great outdoors. Needless to say we checked out the next morning. This was way overpriced at $200+.
