Grande Villas Resort, Orlando

Great place but there is no parking. Why they don't designate a labeled parking spot per room is baffling. Expect to walk a country mile to your villa...that or just move your car when a spot opens up and leave it parked there. Too bad, this place is great otherwise, but when coming back to the room after disney parks close with 3 sleepy kids and having to park a quarter mile from the building is just unacceptable.

.We were very disappointed. We have owned a timeshare since 1999 and travel twice a year. This is the first time that we can say that we were not happy with the resort. Pros Great location Good grounds Nice pools Cons Horrible service We had to call five times before we received a crib for our son. We had a delivery to the resort the front desk called us to come pick it up and we went down right away. There was a large check in line at the front desk so I as the concierge if they could help me, the said no. Not a problem, under normal circumstances but there were four of them behind the desk, one was texting, one was on his cell and the two others we upset that I interrupted their conversation, I waited 20 minutes. Room The room was so dirty that when you showered black water flowed away from your feet! The room had obviously recently been broken into as the door jam was damaged and a make shift repair was in place that did not allow for the deadbolt to be locked. Safety first. Maintenance was going to fix that right away. I bet it is still broken The resort left a bad taste in my mouth.

Case in point, I just returned from Copenhagen and almost changed hotels before arriving due to the bad reviews I had read. I am glad I resisted that urge since the hotel was great. The same thing can be said about Cypress Pointe. I have been an owner here for 15 years and it is a wonderful place. Does that mean it is perfect? Hardly. Some people will complain that they saw a bug near the pool. Well, its Florida, there are bugs everywhere. If bugs bother you spend your vacation at the North Pole. "The person at the front desk was rude." Get over yourself. Everyone is entitled to a bad day and considering what you are complaining about it was probably a guest like you that set this person off. "I had to pay someone to clean my room." The resort very clearly tells you that maid service during your stay is not available except for a fee. It is not a hotel. It is a time share. Make your own bed. It won't kill you. The maid service does all the routine cleaning at the end of each guest stay not each day. The sad thing about these "Rate It" sites is that some people, especially Americans (I am an American) feel that they exist for your gripes only. Some people are just haters. Most people that enjoyed theri visit never bother to write. Face it, you are not going to Orlando to enjoy the hote, you are going to enjoy Disney or Universal any one of the dozen or so other attractions. If the hotel does its job right, you won't even notice it. It will just be the place you return to at the end of a ery enjoyable day at an attraction. Cypress Pointe is a wonderful place. It is walking distance to supermarkets and other shopping. The units on the two bedroom side come with a complete kitchen. It is virtually across the street from Disney property and a 10 minute ride to Pleasure Island, a bit further to all other Disney parks and a 20 minute ride to Universal. At one time it was the only three bedroom, three bath time share available in Lake Buena Vista (assuming you stay in the full suite) and Lake Buena Vista is where Disney is located. It has all of the good things people on this site say it has and they are constantly addiing more things and no they do not treat you differently if you decline to attend their stupid sales pitch to try and sell you another time share (by the way, don't go, use the time to enjoy Florida unless you really want to buy a time share). Look at the photos. Ask the staff questions in advance before you book. Read the reviews but just realize there are people in this country that will never be satisfied no matter how well you treat them. I am going to write a really positive review about my hotel in Copenhagen since my fellow Ameircans have embarrassed me with their negative views. Don't be a hater.

This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. Don't believe the good reviews! I am amazed there are even any. Filthy rooms, rude staff, I could go on and on about how terrible this place is. Worst part was that we found roaches in the bed my children slept in! We checked out after only 2 nights of a 7 night reservation. We even paid extra for the new room since this was our trade for a timeshare week. We had no choice. Management did nothing to resolve any of our complaints. You could hear conversations in the rooms next to us as if they were in the same room with us. Avoid at all costs! If we could rate this place a zero, we would.

We have stayed at this resort for 7 consecutive years and this last year we are sorry to say that this resort did nothing to impress us on our last stay. The room we had was dated and worn. The service at the front desk was rude on 2 occassions. Some of the dishes in the cupboard were not clean so we had to re-wash all of the dishes. The swimming pool (volcano pool) was dirty with bugs crawling on the sides (I also over heard another guest complaining about it to a security guard). The location is great but there are many other resorts in close proximity. Do yourself a favour, don't stay here.

I have stayed in the two bedroom and three bedroom units and we have found our units to be beautiful, clean, and spacious. The resort has been very clean, and the pool areas have been redone since my last visit. They have shuffleboard, basketball, and tennis to enjoy too. We own with Diamond Resorts and find it to be one of the best deals and nicest hotels we have stayed in. The front desk has always been very helpful and courteous. The rooms are decorated beautifully and have been very clean. Maid service in on the 8th day, but thats ok..washer and dryer is in the room and the kitchen has everything that you need. You can walk to many restuarants nearby. We love it and plan to come back more. I was shocked at the negative reviews, though I do believe the one bedroom is small, its a studio. Three bedroom has two king size beds and one twin but three baths! Two bedroom has king and two twin beds and spacious dining. We are staying 4 weeks this winter and happy to be here.

I stayed in a one bedroom unit with my mother and sister. I could see why they do not show a picture of the one bedroom unit. It was a dive, no natural light in the kitchen / living area. The carpets were filthy, we had no cleaning services at all. When I complained the staff at reception they were very rude and told me that they could not help me and that I could book somewhere else if I wasn't happy. The pictures are very misleading and do not tell the whole truth. I was so embarrassed bringing my family to this place. I would not in a million years recommend it and WILL NEVER STAY IN THE KIP AGAIN!!!!!!! Please please please take my word for it.

Grimy/Dirty carpets, place smelled, closet doors broken, patio door lock from bedroom broken, furniture looked like OLD, bathroom had mold deposits forming in the baseboards, Internet was not free, TV's looked horrible. WOULD NOT COME BACK

We stayed here in August of 2007 in a 3 bedroom unit. The unit was so big (close to 2000 square feet) that you could get lost in it. The 3 bedroom unit had 3 bathrooms as well.King size bed in both master bedrooms, large screen tv in living room, and kitchens on both 2 bedroom side and 1 bedroom side. Our unit was very clean as was the rest of the resort.The resort had 3 pools plus a childrens pool. It's about 2 miles from the Disney entrance. Plenty of restaurants on the main strip one right after the other. It's a timeshare resort, so they don't change the towels every day(like most timeshare resorts).Washer and dryer in unit as well. Great place to stay if you are visiting Disney.

The room was very small and cramped for 3 people. The hotel was noisy. Security was called but the noise didn't stop. We were conned into a timeshare presentation that the rep PROMISED would only take 90 minutes of our time. It lasted more than 3 hours. We were extremely upset because it ruined our plans for retuning to the theme park we wanted to go back to. We were leaving the day of the presentation and had planned our time schedule around the 90 timeshare presentaiton. We will never book at this timeshare resort or any others. And we definately will never sit through another timeshare presentation again no matter what is promised.
