Comfort Suites University, Baton Rouge

the hotel was great. the room was great. the food was great. the pool was great. the service was great. i would stay here again.

If we come back to Baton Rouge we will stay here. Very convenient to everything we needed and plenty to do! Super nice staff - had a problem with internet in our room and they moved us to a room next door. Very responsive to questions and the suite was large, clean and very comfortable. Carpet and bathroom could use updating.

My husband and I went to the State Track Meet and stayed at this hotel. We had reservations for 2 nights. At around midnight the first night we were rudely awakened by a group of track team members staying in the room next to us that had absolutely no respect for anyone trying to sleep. For about an hour we listened to yelling, laughing, doors slamming, loud music, television on full blast, etc. until finally I went downstairs and asked that security go up to their room to make them be quiet. The clerk informed me that there was no security, so I asked to be moved to another room. He informed me that they were sold out for the night so I told him that we were going to have to check-out and I wanted a refund. He told me that I would have to speak to the manager in the morning. The next morning I spoke to the manager and he told me that my refund check would be mailed within 2 weeks and assured me that it would be sent. It has been a month now and I still have not received my refund check. I have spoken to him on numerous occasions and he has given me the run-around each time. I now have the corporate office involved so hopefully I will eventually receive my refund. My advice is if you are going to stay in Baton Rouge, find another hotel!

At check in they gave us keys to a room someone was occuping Then they appologized and gave us keys to another room This room had black hairs in the sink, inthe tub, on the floor in the bathroom. The sheet on the king size bed look like someone had slept under it. The sheet was wrinkled like it came straight out of the dryer and not smooth out. Just very uncomfortable not knowing if it had been cleaned for new use.

I have stayed at this hotel more than once. I stay there each time I visit Baton Rouge. I like the location. I also like the staff--they are very kind and courteous. The Breakfastbar is great--they have everything you can imagine--including fresh fruit. Only Complaints---Extremely poor lighting and bathroom way too small. Otherwise the hotel is very quiet and clean and clean is important to me.

Positives: The rooms are large and the staff seemed friendly. Lobby was clean and modern (except for the business center which had two ancient computers). Negatives: Five story hotel with only one elevator. Room was dingy and very dated. Stained carpet, walls, bathroom ceiling and bathtub. Bed was only so-so; I found it rather hard. Not much of a value considering the condition of the rooms. As for location - easy access to I-10 and LSU; however, there's a "gentleman's club" directly across from the front of the hotel. I travel to Baton Rouge fairly often but will not stay here again. There are much better options nearby.

THE ROOM WAS VERY LARGE BUT THE CARPET WAS FILTHY, AND THE BATHROOM HAD NOT BEEN UPDATED WITH THE REST OF THE ROOM. THE LIGHTING IN THE BATHROOM WAS TERRIBLE, THE FIXTURES WERE OLD, AND NOT VERY CLEAN.
