HORRIBLE, DISGUSTING AND THE PICS ARE FAKES.
My husband and I were moving to Joint Base Lewis-McChord, but our housing would not be ready until later that week, so we had to stay in a hotel/motel. We were trying to save money and we came across the Travelodge and the price seemed right. The pictures made the place seem like it was decent. We arrived late that evening. There were guys hanging outside of the place, people leaning over railings smoking, and other people just being crude. We enter the room it smelled, the flyer said they had iron and iron boards( but there was not). Little did we know that this was a truck stop as well. We decided to stay against our better judgement. So on a Thursday my husband had to go on the base so I decided to stay there. I locked the door behind him and secured it. Sometime in the afternoon someone knocks on the door hard, I asked who it was and what they wanted? At first no response, so I yell louder and repeat the same questions? A guy yells out at me very rudely and tell me that I have pets in my room and that was not a "PET ROOM". I assure him that I do not, he insists on telling me I do. While he was yelling at me, I was looking through the peep hole and it looked to be a Pakistan man yelling at me. The man said he worked in the front office. He kept telling me to open the door, of course I did not. So I yelled back at him and told him that I was calling the police, he walked away. I called my husband, who hurried back. He went to the front office to tell them what had happened. The women at the front desk at the time told my husband that no "MEN" worked in the front desk. So with that I was panicked, we began to pack our stuff and made other arrangements. As we were leaving I saw that man in the office, I went inside to confront him...come to find out he was the co-owner. I asked him what his problem was... he told me that " he said he was sorry and did not want to mention it again, the situation was over." I was livid. The next time we will not try to be so cheap...money sometimes does pay for peace of mind. FOR ANYONE PLANNING ON STAYING...DON'T...ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A MILITARY FAMILY.
