Cebu Midtown Hotel, Cebu

Overall it's poor. Not a good hotel to recommend.

I booked online after someone told me the hotel has a nice swimming pool. I should have been suspicious because of the price. From the people I saw checking in, this hotel is mainly for low-budget foreigners and their prostitute girlfriends. The room smelled stale. Very few amenities (shampoo, etc.) are provided. There is only dialup internet service. The pool closes at 7pm. I tried to check out immediately and they made me pay for a full night, but only after holding me in the lobby long enough to check the room to see if I stole anything. I moved to the Marco Polo, where I had a 5-star experience for not much more money.

I have stayed here for 8 years now. It was not bad when Cebu Pacific had its promo for $18.00 per night, now that is gone and they want $75.00. Location is the only thing left that is still good there. Even if you ant a long stay they will drop the pice about $4.00 per night. Dont get rate with breakfest, its not worth it. Save the cash and go next door to the restaurant there. Its to the point we are going soon , and now I am looking for a new place to stay.

Best thing about this hotel is its location. That is it! Forget the food, service orientation of staff, cleanliness, attention to detail, spic & span rooms, working internet, etc. You are better off staying elsewhere...

We stayed there for 2 weeks and we order some drinks, they cudnt even make some vodka and orange juice. It took 3 hours to serve our dinner and was very cold. Management is not so good. No improvement! Staff not helpful!

Stayed here for 2 months and really enjoyed the stay. Staff are great! Breakfast needs some work but free. Also the a/c never got very cold but all in all I would stay here again anytime.

This Midtown hotel was the place to be 10 years ago. good thing is the hotel is on top of a shopping center - Robinsons Place where you can get some fresh fruits and food with a reasonable price. But the hotel really need some updating even the carpet need some 'spring clean'. The breakfast bar is always very busy, but not with lots of choices if you are a vegetarian.

The hotel is in a good area, near restaurants and shopping is just on the ground floor.The aminities needs to be updated, 2 tredmill does not function and according to the staff it has been broken for two months and the swimming pool was close for 10 days! My boyfriend and I had to go to another place w/c has a tredmill and my 2 kids were not able to use the pool and we stayed for 2 weeks. Management should make sure everything is functional because guest has to get what's their money's worth and will be able to recommend the hotel to their friends and relatives.Hopefully when we visit Cebu City next year that your aminities has been upgraded.

pool was too small and out of action for 3 days for cleaning. Rooms were good size and the hotel was in a good spot in the city. Room were clean and house keeping were very good. Restaurant was a bit pricey if the meals were a little cheaper there would have been alot more people in the place at nite also they have all this free space in the way of halls and ballrooms why not have some music and dancing oh well they dont want to make money.

smelly, dingy, stains on carpet, comforter, mildew on the bathroom. checked in but check out the next morning, cant stand it. never going back there again!
