Rodeway Inn Cedar Point South, Sandusky

There was nothing to like about this place. Went with family ,3 rooms. person at front desk was rude and nasty. Rooms were gross and dirty. Bugs, tiles missing, moldy...just nasty. Pictures on website should be updated as its gross there.

This hotel was good and gross at the check in counter the clerk gave us a can of raid. The pool was slimy. everyone was outside drinking from coolers because the rooms were so gross and I dont think anybody would go there sober. The rooms smelled. There were bugs everywhere dead and alive, You need a delousing after being there 15 minutes. People were walking in and walking back to sleep in their cars. Honestly just keep driving on by this place if you know whats best.

Great rate for only being a couple miles from Cedar Point, BUT, Shuttle service to Cedar Point is only on the weekends, nowhere on the website does it state that. They do have an outdoor pool, BUT during my stay it was not heated and really needed a cleaning (I did not swim). The lobby smelled of bug killer. I got a smoking room,but there were no ashtrays. You WILL randomly get scolded in the shower. They say they have a laundry facility but the sign had tape over it (No Washer/dryer to be found). I got back from Cedar Point one night during my stay and my keycard didn't work (I prepaid for my stay). Next time I will spend a little more and stay somewhere nicer.

I have stayed at 2 star hotels and after going here they would get a 5 star rating. This hotel was so bad that after we checked in we ended up calling another hotel down the road and staying there. Thank goodness there was room somewhere else. This was the most disgusting place I have ever thought about staying. We booked the room with 5 beds in it. It stunk like mold. The toilet leaked. There were tiles in the shower missing. The bathroom door did not shut. I could go on but I won't. Don't waste your money.

this place was horrible, we had two rooms, one the door didnt shut unless you pulled with everything you had, no washclothes, beds were very uncomfie, and when i went to take a shower in one of the rooms, their was no hot water. the other room, which was adjoined, smelled like cat urine combined with mold?!!?. it was a non smoking room, however we found ashes in one bathroom and a ciggerette burn in one of the blankets.. for 100 dollars per room you would think that they could afford to renovate this hotel.

This motel was disgusting! I would not let my dog stay here. I have never heard of a hotel with ash trays and matches standard in every room. This means every room is smoking (and smelled like it), even the non-smoking rooms, which my husband and I requested. The air conditioner grates were blocked with a solid ice build up. The next morning we were welcomed by armadillo (rollie pollie)bugs every where. 5 that I could visibly see. These bugs are usually in damp dark places...like under a rock. I will never stay here again. Ever!

From reading all the reviews that this place received, I was literally expecting a dump when I got to this place but boy... I was shocked and surprised at how CLEAN it was. There was no odor, a working AC with a working toilet and a TV with HBO as well. I was very pleasantly surprised and enjoyed every second I was there. The price was very cheap compared to others and the location was very good. I found this hotel to be nothing, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like most of the reviews that I've read from people who stayed here. I took a risk when I decided to stay here with the one good review I read and I made an excellent choice. I would most definitely stay here again and I'll probably be back next year to this hotel as long as this hotel doesn't take advantage of this review and go downhill. One thing that I somewhat disliked was that it wouldn't have hurt for the staff to smile once in a while. The continental breakfast was a bit... disappointing. Everything was gone when I got there at 8 am.(doughnuts, muffins...) It's not a BREAKFAST per se. But other than the smile and the breakfast, everything else was absolutely satisfying. Oh and it also had a bar of soap, shampoo, towels and everything you needed. (even though we didn't use it b/c we brought EVERYTHING from home due to the bad reviews I read)

Hotel is new and you get what could be expected of an economy hotel: Good price with few amenities. But it was clean and just what I needed for one night.

We booked two rooms for a stay 8/4/05 to 8/5/05. Check in was at 3:00. The room was not ready at 5:00. The towels were dirty in one of the rooms. The toilet paper holder was broken in one of the rooms. The tissue paper dispenser was missing in the other room. The continental breakfast was a joke. All in all this motel is a disaster. My impression of this motel is that they are probably renting rooms by the hour.

This was the worst place ever. The door would not even lock. The place was flithy. The windows are wooden...It sucked. Do not stay there.
