30 reviews for Sheraton Suites Key West, Key West
Looking forward to returning next year.
By Frdsgrl, 12/17/09
We loved this hotel. It was decorated beautifully, was very clean and the staff was friendly and very helpful. The suites are very comfortable and having the small refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot allowed us to have breakfast before going into town for the day and then to come "home" and have our evening cup of tea. We really enjoyed our visit of 4 days and 3 nights.

Sheraton Review July 2009 / Ocean Front Suite
By magnum, 07/27/09
I was just recently visiting the Keys for fishing and relaxation from 7/15/09 to 7/20/09 at the Sheraton suites at 2001 Roosevelt blvd something. I paid more for a suite with a oceanfront view. The view is outstanding at anytime for one of the balcony ocean view suites like I had. I think it comes in at over 500 sq ft. The Bed and sleeping area are top-notch beds made with that special touch. The living room area also has a ocean view window to the Atlantic. The couch was a kind of a long T shaped deal, but it was good to crash in while coming back on a night-time snapper raid, while checking my email. Evidently they do have a charge for Internet usage, but I already pay Florida verizon and I had no problem getting a good solid internet connection from my laptop or my blackberry storm. If you look around the facility it is much larger than you might originally think. The grounds are well maintained with a palm / tropic look and the pool is a little small w/ bars and a cool little waterfall slamming into the pool. The staff, up front were cluster upon arrival, but they finally got their act together. The concierge was somewhat helpful, very beautiful lady needed to know a little more about some fishing regs at the Dry Tort excursion. Yes you can fish there, but only on the docks. I highly enjoyed the snorkeling for hours around the reef and snapper and other ancient artifacts around the corals and fort. Note- may not be good to swim with a bunch of jewelry because of the Barracuda lurking all around. The living room had about a 30 in HDTV set up with basic cable and PPV, also the bedroom has an identical HDTV. There is a phone in each room, and mine did not work, so I just let them know of it. The shower is pretty nice and is great after several hours of fishing or whatever. One of the nicer little things that were very excellent was having a nice, pretty cool semi-private balcony to chill out and listen to nothing but the waves. Only the Ocean view Suites will have these very limited (15-20??) options. The room I was in was in outstanding condition and the safe came in real handy, but note that a 17 in laptop will not make it in the safe, but a bunch of stuff will. It also has a mini-bar / coffee area (with Starbucks java / sweetners, etc.) with a sink and a mini fridge with non-working freezer. I’m just trying to help those know a little about more The Sheraton Suite. I enjoyed my stay, which is when I was not out fishing. One last thing it’s very close to Charter Boat Row, and I highly recommend 2 boats, the Wild Bill and the partyboat Greyhound.

Looking forward to going back!
By Island Girl, 07/21/09
For a first timer in Key West - I was impressed! The room was very comfortable w/a pull out for bed, a nice size fridge and in room coffee maker! When we did spend time in our room, there was plenty of room for eveyone to stretch out and relax in the a/c! I will definitely be back!

Warning Warning Warning
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/17/09
If you would like a really bad check in experiance, then go here. Many people were having difficulties with their rooms at the same time that I was having a problem. If you need a certain number of beds for your family or was set on having a certain view, then don't go here. They will tell you if you don't like what they have for you, then just go somewhere else!!!!

Would come here again
By Betty, 04/20/09
The room was large, we are starwood members and we were upgraded to a suite with a balconey had a pool and garden view. Loved the room, the staff was wonderful would come here again. Shuttle was wonderful to have to go downtown, then come back to the quiet at the hotel.

Would never come here again
By Daniel, 12/31/08
I am a Starwood member and have come to have certain expectations of a Sheraton. This is not a resort. The pool is averaged sized. Nothing special about the grounds. Our room is large, but filthy. The carpet is filthy, the fabrics are filthy, the sheets and comforter (for which Starwood is know) are worn out. The whole place is in disrepair. The staff is not helpful. To ride the shuttle to town you have to reserve your space! You have to aquire coupons! Otherwise it is a $12 cab ride each time to town. There is no reading material in the room, no information on what to do. You basically have to fend for yourself. Price is out of site for what you get. Very angry and feel very ripped off.

Great Beach Front Hotel and Large Rooms
By KristinC, 08/02/08
Fairly large hotel, three stories tall, with a ring of rooms circling the beautifully landscaped garden and pool area. Room was a large suite with plenty of space. Comfortable bed, flat screen TV, nicely tiled large shower and sink area. Free parking and a free shuttle bus that runs til 11PM. Location is great for access to the beach, but it is a few miles away from all of the action on Duval Street. Fairly high price, but lots of space and nice proximity to the beach. Great for a quiet, romantic time. We were there on our honeymoon and they brought us champagne and chocolate cake for free!!!

Faultless!
Excellent rooms - one of the best we have stayed in.Everything you need, walk in shower, hairdryer, coffee, full size fridge, 2 TVs, seperate lounge/kitchen area, iron/board, air conditioning and more than adequate storage - that's just the rooms! Free internet in lobby, restaurant, hourly shuttle bus (handy if you want to dine in Duval Street & drink), free parking, heated outdoor pool, jacuzzi, ample sunbeds, pool towels, poolside bar,ATM machine, shop, gymn and coin operated laundry (so handy!}. Beautiful gardens.Trips could be arranged if required. Checked in for 4 nights and were so impressed we stayed for the duration of our stay for a further 5 nights. Do book in advance as we arrived in Key West (May 2008)on a Thursday hoping to book in for the weekend and many of the top end hotels were fully booked (but at double the price of the Sheraton and without as many facilities). Well recommended - thanks to all the staff especially the bar staff who were very friendly and helpful. Key West is very laid back (flip flops day to evening ladies!) a welcome contrast from South Beach Miami - bit overated if you ask me.

Amazing Vacation spot
By Jennifer, 05/03/08
We loved everything about this hotel. The service was great, food was great,& people were very friendly. The food at this hotel was as good or better than downtown. We liked the location at this hotel. It was far enough out of town to have peace and quiet, but town is not to far. The pool is the best! The rooms are great. The shower is a big walk-in shower; I loved it.
