Europa Cairo Hotel, El Mosky

My fiance and I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and quite frankly I was glad to get out of there. The hotel was full of nasty bugs, filthy and the hotel staff cannot be trusted. Our sheets were actually black and stained and smelled, as did the towels. The seats were black with dirt and it was very noisy. We got ripped off by the hotel staff on the first full day of our holiday and we made sure we didn't book any more 'trips' through them. The hotel is apparently 4* but not by British standards. I wouldn't dream of staying there again. The only good points was the relatively good air conditioning and fridge.

We being Irish stood out a mile as all other guests seemed to be Egyptian and were constantly asked if we were Americans (I felt very intimidated). No Swimming Pool, there is one there but it is closed, One floor of hotel is being refurbished and it was like a building site and we had to walk past it to get down to the restaurant. Electricity went out periodically (for short time only) because of this we wouldn�t use lift. Staff very much in your face. Breakfast not good.

I liked the swimmingpoole on the roof. The room was large, clean, good. The breakfast was rather small but good. The service very good but they always asking extra money.
