Bad Customer Service!!!

What ever happened to customer satisfaction? Doesn't seem to matter at this hotel. I made reservations a couple of months in advance using a coupon $69 stating 2nd-floor ocean view rooms only. This information was provided to the person on the phone upon making the reservation. When we arrived to check in, we were placed in a ground floor room. I didn't say anything, but once we entered our room we found that our "ocean view" was a view of overgrown grass. We could not even see any part of a beach. My husband complained to the ladies in the office, who only told him we would have to spend $130 for a room on a higher floor or pay a $75 cancellation fee to cancel our reservations. Frustrated, I paid a visit to the office myself. I received no apologies, no offers for any other room at our coupon rate, not so much as a smile. Instead, just a sigh & some thought before the lady actually decided to wave my cancellation fee. My family & I had specifically taken this trip to stay on the ocean (and see it!)... I wasn't about to stare at grass for 3 days! Apparently, their greediness outweighs their desire for customer satisfaction. They were not about to give me another room, nor did they even offer to do so unless we forked over some cash.
Two thumbs down for Oceanside... definitely NOT recommended.
