The Buena Vista Suites is a mile and a half from Walt Disney World® Resort, accessible via a complimentary shuttle, and less than 8 miles from SeaWorld, Universal Studios, and other theme parks.The property offers a complimentary buffet breakfast with hot and cold items, as well as a restaurant that offers poolside service. Room service is available around the clock. On site are an outdoor pool with spa tub, fitness center, video-game room, a basketball court, and a tennis court with complimentary use of tennis racquets and balls. Banquet and meeting facilities are available, as is wireless Internet access (surcharge) in the public areas. Parking is complimentary.The seven-story Orlando hotel features 279 suites. All suites, include sofa beds and separate bedrooms, as well as microwaves, compact refrigerators, and coffeemakers. Telephones, voicemail, and wireless Internet access (surcharge) are also provided, along with two HBO channels.

Stolen Credit Cards

Staying at the hotel was nice, getting my wife's credit cards taken was not. Two credit cards were taken out of our hotel room during our stay, and used in little Havana Miami (go figure). Called and left a message for the general manager to call me, and to this day 12/9/10, no contact from management. Never again will we stay in this place!!!!

Personal items not returned

I stayed in this hotel in May on 2010. I left a drawer full of clothing. I called the hotel to report this. The front desk person informed me that it was the responsibility of their Housekeeping Department to handle my concern. I got a answering machine in the Housekeeping Department. It is July and I still do not have my items or compensation for my loss. I called today to speak with the manager. I got an assistant manager who would only give her first name and refused to give me the address of the corporate office. This hotel has very poor management. The staff during our stay were very friendly and nice. Apparently all members of the Housekeeping Department are not honest. We had left them a $10 tip.

Okay, but beware of out of control kids

Location can not be beat if you're going to Disney. Room service was a little slow, but quality and value was very good. VERY noisy soccer team on our floor was approached by management, unfortunately we ended up having to request a room change at 10:30pm because our 4-year old was repeatedly woken up by these rude guests running up and down the hallway screaming and yelling after 10pm. Their coach could not have cared less when the manager asked him to control the kids. We were told that school teams often book this hotel, so beware. Pool was dirty and needed to be scrubbed as there was a scum line all around the edge. Free breakfast buffet was okay, the staff was very nice. Jessica in the Valencia Room and Gardinera at the Front Desk were very kind and professional. Housekeeping was good, beds were very comfortable. We'll probably try another place next time.

Hope to return - great place to stay.

Clean, great hospitality, very comfortable rooms. After leaving a sub-par hotel for BuenaVista Suites, we were very happy with it. It was well worth the money. The room was gorgeous with two flat screen TVs, micro and fridge. The employees were extremely nice and approachable.

Pleasant place

Nice hotel with friendly staff. We spent most of our time at Disney World and were exhausted when we returned to our room. The room was comfortable, very clean, and the beds provided a good nights sleep. The pool is too small, but we weren't there to hang around the pool.

Friendly but is that enough

Stayed there for an entire week. I read the reviews and I wished I took them seriously. The staff was very nice. Having a breakfast buffet was very nice. The pool area was dirty - the pool needed to be vacumned and skimmed, the tables were dirty and mostly every morning there was trash around that people left. When I confronted the front desk - more than one time - they explained every morning the pool was cleaned but I only saw the trash was picked up - the pool was not vacumned - didn't want to swim in that. The rooms were wearing in some places, the grout in the bathroom tub needed to be fixed. The room was serviced every day and as I said the staff was very friendly, but one has to ask is being friendly enough - one with a family does like to relax around a clean pool and this hotel DOESN'T HAVE a clean pool.

Average, convenient

BVS is an average hotel, conveniently located in Orlando. Orlando is a verrry corporate town and this is a corporate hotel, meaning everyone acts stiff and wears funny uniforms. Rooms are decent size but you can stay a LOT cheaper elsewhere (this is written May 2007). Dislikes: - Mold on caulk in shower - Dryer in laundry was broken - Breakfast opens later than advertised - Vent in bathroom did not work - Cords for alarm and lamps snake next to and under the mattress to get to the badly-located outlet. Management should have the maids stop folding the toilet paper and towels into interesting patterns, and put more effort into basic maintenance. In a word, this place is "average".

A one rating is too high!

The rooms are dull, drab, rundown and stinky. The help desk keeps trying to send you to a real estate seminar?? They try to bill for "broken pictures" after you check out. You should check your credit card statement when you get home and compare it to your checkout invoice!! There has to be better than this!

Great hotel!

I went here last april for a trip and stayed for a week. It was great! You felt very secure and at home in your rooms and the breakfast buffet was very good. The swimming area was fun to be around and it was nice that you were able to go to the sister hotels as well to use their swimming areas (the day we left we drove next door and the other hotel had a waterslide!!) It was a blast! If I could go back right now I definetly would! It was also great how it was next to all of the parks, and the sports complex where our softball team had our games!

I can't wait for another chance to go there!

I really liked this hotel. The service was great, and I liked the security. You had to have a card to get into the hotel after a certain hour. It had a little kitchenette so you could keep cold drinks and prepare food if you wanted to. We never did that since the restaurants were so great and not too expensive. Black Angus Steakhouse Rocks! Nearby indoor flea markets were a great place to find a value not to mention all the attraction. The only thing I disliked was the bathroom. It was a little too small you felt really cramped in there. You were kind of hoping no one opened the door while you were in there. The free complimentary breakfast was a lot more than we expected all in all this Hotel was a great value.
