Quality Inn Jacksonville, Jacksonville

I stayed here because it is adjacent to the Amtrak station, thinking it would also be nice to be right down town. They gave me a cheaper price for my leaving for the 1:10 AM train. As soon as I got to my floor I smelled a pervasive unpleasant odor. The same odor pervaded my room. The shower didn't work right- half or more of the water came pouring out of the main bath spout. The room had a side door to another room, but there was no way to lock it on my side. I had to take the word of the guy at the desk that nobody was in the next room. It seems like they are trying to rent out a lot of the rooms as longer term rentals. I will not come back here. This could be a really cool hotel if someone were to sink big money into a major renovation.

The front desk assigned our room to new guests not once, but twice. Two times, my fiance and I are lying in bed and we have our lock opened and our room entered by a complete stranger. This nightmare goes beyond bad service--this is UNSAFE. I would NEVER stay at this hotel ever again, and I would suggest that you find ANY other hotel to stay at. I've stayed at hotels on Bragg BLVD (worst area in Fayetteville) and felt more secure. Other complaints: the housekeeping ignored "do not disturb" signs, entered our room while we were away and threw out a lot of things that were not trash, and one of my books went missing. The room itself was fine, but that really doesn't matter if you can't depend on it to be secure. I travel a lot on a tight budget and don't expect much more than a reasonably clean room with a bed and locks on the doors, but I DO expect to be able to sleep at night without being afraid that a stranger has been given the key to my hotel room. Please find somewhere else to stay when traveling to Fayetteville--this hotel nearly ruined my trip.

I just spent 3 days and 2 nights at the Prince Charles and considered it the most comforting of my overnights. The staff went out of the way to help me with boarding passes for my flights, entertainment, shuttle and cab service and eating establishments. The were cheerful, smiling and appreciative. The standard room was all that I could ask for and accomadations abound throughout the facility. Safety features were easy to notice and use in an emergency. Actually I found all the people at Fayetteville to be perfect example of 'Southern Hospitality'.

The place is dirty! It has had 4 general managers since Feb. 2008 and treats its employees badly. There is no organization. And people that plan events there are going to be disappointed because no one in the hotel knows from one minute to the next what is going on.

I LOVED MY STAY AT THIS HOTEL. THE HOTEL FRONT DESK CLERK I THINK HER NAME WAS VICKY. SHE IS SO FUNNY AND VERY HELPFUL WITH DIRECTIONS AND LOCATIONS OF PLACES WE NEEDED TO GO. READING REVEIWS I THOUGHT WE WOULD BE WALKING INTO A HAUNTED HOUSE BUT IT WAS WELL LIT AND VERY COMFORTABLE I JUST LOVED IT. CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK. LOVE YA PRINCE CHARLES

I Liked There Location, Customer Service Was Very Good With A Little Comedy With The Clerk At Check-In Time. My Room Were Not At All Hard To Find And Were Found In A Clean State With My Stay They Also Offered Us A Complimitary Use Of An Off Site Location To Reap Spa Treatment. The Overall Stay Was Very Good.

I have been in this hotel off and on for about a week now. I was surprised to see that must of the negetive stuff I read on line was not true. True there was somethings that needed attention, but nothing was as bad as the reviews were saying. The hotel is old! Most of the problems came from the fact that the hotel is OLD! I tell you what I did like, I liked the plans that the new owner had for the OLD hotel. I 'll give it a couple of months before I go back to see if what he was telling was true.

Disliked!!! Everything!! The BLACK MOLD on the ceiling of the room!! The disgusting smell that came out of the fridge when I opened it. Our room phone was broken and they wouldn't give us a new one! The help lied to us and said they had wireless internet throughout the hotel and of course they just happened to NOT have it in the room we were in! When I went to bed I felt tiny flea bites all over my leg...UMMMM can you say bedbugs, so of course I had to sleep on top of the covers. We did get to move rooms once because the other room had a LOUD buzz/humm comming from the black (mold) vent. I wasn't excited about the week old donuts either, which I would assume was there idea of breakfast. Ohhhh...also the bathroom sink faucet (which was on the side of the bed) leaked all over the counter top...which thats where the microwave is AHHHHH!!

This was our 3rd time at this hotel, first one was in 2006 and it was VERY BAD. Next was in Feb 07, hotel had been taken over by a management company due to the hotel being in foreclosure. Next was in Oct 2007, and the Manager (Randy Nealey) was very professional, took care of our every need, and made sure all of our issues were taken care of right away. I would reccomend if you have been there in the past, check it out again. They do not have a pool, but Randy contacted a local Spa, and allowed us to use the facility free of charge.

We held our 30-year class reunion at the Prince Charles. My wife and I stayed in a King Suite and had a great room at a very reasonable price. We had a wonderful reunion. I've received a ton of positive feedback from classmates and Linda, the event coordinator, was excellent to work with. The terrace ballroom and large balcony on the 8th floor can't be matched anywhere in the area. The hotel needs to get a restaurant back as soon as possible though. Since the restaurant is closed, we had to pay $50 to get a onetime ABC permit. Despite this, it's an exceptional facility for functions and has some really nice rooms at bargain prices.
