Horrible, nothing but problems!

My problems started when I blocked 10 rooms for my wedding for June 9th 2007. Ther originally wanted to do all business through email. The Contract they sent me was small and did not explain much. The contract took my credit card, but did not explain if it would be charged or not. I would send emails(as directed) to Super 8's email, however no one would respond. I called several times to adress my questions, not very friendly on the phone. One conversation I asked three times who I was speaking to for reference and the associate would not give me her name. I was told the group rate was to be $79 for June 9th. This alone is pricey for the location, and the quality of the rooms. We were to block the rooms by May 9th one month before the wedding. Are block of rooms we all booked. I called after May 9th and whoever I spoke to on the phone said that it would not be a problem for our guests to get the group rate as long as they tell us they are with our wedding party. I friends called us later in the week to tell us that Super 8 was charging there credit card $99 even after the mentioned the wedding. We called Super 8 again, and this time they said they would fix that and give them the group rate. The Day of our wedding June 9th, upon check-in, the same couple was going to be charged $99 again! THe associate working told us to try and contact her manager in the morning who may or may not be there and that if the manager was not there they would be charged $99. My husband went to check in our wedding day under a second room my mother had booked and they told us it was cancelled. So my husband booked us a different room. Later on that night when we went to check in to our king size non-smoking room that we asked for the key did not work. We went back dowstairs and the associated swiped the card and said good luck. The key worked, however it was a smoking double bed room. We went back downstairs again and asked for a king. When we got in that room the air conditioning was broken! The next moring Super 8 was trying to charge my mother for the room that the associate told my husband was cancelled! My brother called to verify his reservations and told me that they tried charging them more than what was quoted. His room hads burnt out lightbulbs and the volume on the TV did not work. My In-laws brother and wife drove in from texas. THey quoted them $59 for Fri. and $79 for Sat. Upon check in they tried charging them $79 for Friday. I am not sure who I spoke to upon checkout, but I wanted to inform them of all of the problems I have had with them and this Super 8. The associate just keep trying to justify things and pulled out a different contract then the one I had. This contract was full and was highlighted. The associate was trying to show me what it said. I can care less because that is not the contract that we had completed. This hotel is poorly run and unfortately it is one of the two in Whitewater.
