Super 8 Ticonderoga, Ticonderoga

Not a cost friendly place.Spending over $100 for 1 night is too much for a basic run of the mill motel room. Room was basicaly clean not too fresh. Tis is a generic Super 8 with lifeless desk staff. Continue down RT 74 for better lodging & dining choices.

rooms are small but clean, noise with windows open a bit to much. very easy to get to local stores and food. price a bit to hi.

It is easy to find but not easy to stay at. We travel as a group,2 couples with a tight budget-this place is way expensive.Adding $$x3 per extra person over 1!! We did look at a room with 2 beds & it was typically dull & Very musty smelling,dim looking & feeling. We chose not to stay & front desk staff seemed uninterested in our findings. For 1 night it may be ok for some but not for us.

We stayed at the Super 8 for a wedding in nearby Port Henry. We found some of the hotel staff to be surly and unprofessional(complaining about other wedding parties and large groups that had preceded us). In addition, the shoddy construction of the building itself creates problems -- you can't enter and enter your room without waking up half the guests on your floor. This was a HUGE problem during our stay. There are plenty of other hotels in the area to consider. On the plus side, the hotel is located within walking distance of McDonald's and Walmart which comes in handy for last minute purchases.
