Good Hotel for the Money and Location
By Anne Marie, 11/27/06
If you need a good location to stay in the North San Diego/Del Mar area this is a good hotel. Look online at their web site for the best rates either AAA or internet rate. Hotel is very clean, staff is friendly and helpful. For the large group of kids staying there this past weekend (some soccer tournament) the hotel was very quiet. No kids running or noise during the night. Kudos to the staff and management. I forgot to mention GREAT BEDS. Very comfortable.

Honeymoon Haven
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/12/06
When I arrived I was nervous and talking fast. I had unknowningly taken the longest route to get to the hotel and would be late picking up my husband. But the receptionist didn't seem to notice(Nor the valet or the bellhop). The customer service was excellent. Everyone was polite and PROFESSIONAL. The location, the breakfast, the parking, and the view was absolutely perfect. This is OUR hotel. The hotel as a whole was so great, we have planned to spend our anniversary there. And we will be back every.single.year.

GREAT beds!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/05/06
All around a wonderful experience. The beds & pillows were better than some 5-star resorts I've stayed in. Beautiful hotel. Great room service.

Wonderful location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/11/05
I loved the whole hotel property and the service I received but most of all I loved being able to step off the trolley and across the street to my hotel. No car needed and wonderful public transportation

Might choose again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/10/05
The only thing I didn't like about this hotel was that I had originally scheduled the room for two people. I had a friend in town that wanted to stay in the room with us, and when the hotel found out about it, they charged me an additional $100 for the room.

Very Relaxing!
By Chasity B, 05/26/05
What I liked about the hotel was that it was in a nice area in San Diego, and I really enjoyed myself. I actually had a good night's sleep and really relaxed. I definitely recommend it.

First impressions are everything!
By bombaycat, 05/22/05
First impressions are everything. From the extremely courteous and customer-oriented staff to the cafe featuring savory meals to the comfortable rooms, the Doubletree provides guests with a wonderful service. This hotel yields an amazing passage into the San Diego lifestyle through its design, friendly service, and location. The Metro system is conveniently across the street and provides transportation into Olde Town, Gaslight Alley, Tijuana, and the ball park. It is within walking distance to Spanish styled shopping malls and fine restaurants. However, considering the food and atmosphere at the Doubletree, guests might want to stay for food and drinks by the pool in front of the fire pits...drinks under the stars by the pool???? What more could a guest ask for??

Very pleased with our stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/03/05
Very nice, clean, convinient location, and great price (they participated in priceline.com) Close to the beach and quick access to I-5, close to attractions (Legoland). Nice restaurants also couple blocks away. We had 2 kids with us and the rooms were spacious for a portacrib and the luggage.
