Poor attitude from desk staff
By ,
Although this is a beautiful resort and well appointed these positive attributes can not make up for desk staff that do not seem to care for the customer. I was treated better by the doorman and housekeeping than by the rest of the staff. I will take my business elsewhere; I can live without bells and whistles if I am treated well.

I love the Wildflower Day Spa
By ,
I'm from San Antonio, and I absolutely love the Wildflower Spa. I had a wonderful facial as well as an awesome massage (swedish & deep tissue) and I felt like a princess. After my treatments, I lounged in the jacuzzi and in the sauna, which was very relaxing. This is a great time to go to the Wildflower Spa, especially on Sundays, since it's normally not as busy.

Enjoyed Every Minute of it!!!!
By ,
The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the food was awesome. We could practically get food anytime we wanted. The pool was clean and neat, and you didn't even have to leave the water to get a drink. We plan on making it a yearly retreat!!!

We'll take the whole family next time!
By ,
Very unique, fun place to stay as a couple or as a family. The weekend movie nights on the lawn, marshmallow roasts, lazy river, beach, and many other fun activities make it a great place to spend a little time away from home. Beautiful property inside and out, great restaurant, spa, can't wait to go back!

No Children? Beware!
By ,
Nestled in a wooded section of northwest San Antonio across from SeaWorld lies the beautiful Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa. This hotel has all the makings of a great resort. Guests will delight in the palatable cuisine offered at the resorts numerous restaurants. Especially that of Antler's Lodge, the fine dining establishment where one can enjoy anything from Gulf Grouper to Free-range Bison. And beating the hot Texas sun could never be easier with the resort's impressive 4 acre water park and ramblin' river. You will be pampered like royalty at the gorgeous Windflower Spa. And not to mention, the recently rennovated rooms are delightfully luxurious. But don't let the quaint photos of a seemingly desserted resort fool you. During the busy summer months the Hyatt Hill Country Resort transforms into a loud, chaotic children's playground. So if you're travelling without children, beware. You will find it rather diffucult to escape the yelling, screaming, crying, and whining hoards of children that engulf the resort. But if you are like the majority of guests at the Hyatt Hill Country with four little ones and another on the way, you will feel quite at home here. Bottom line: Beautiful Resort, but large crowds (primarily children) can make stay quite unpleasant.

Close to Home Getaway
By ,
We live in the San Antonio Metro area and when we want to just get away and chill for a weekend this is where we go! My first weekend at the resort was a mom and daughter weekend while my husband was on a business trip. Because of severe asthma I had problems being in the newly remodeled room that we were originally given. They had to move us three times but were very gracious and helpful in finding me a room in which I could not smell the paint even from down the hall. The setting is peaceful and idyllic even though it is very close to everything. The pools are lovely and blend right into the surrounding "wild" vegetation. The "lawn" is what we all aspire to as Texans. I have had wonderful spa services, and an especially helpful hot stone massage. There was nothing that I disliked. It is one of my favorite hotels in the country. We generally stay at the best and this ranks right up with them. The restaurants rank very well and are well worth "staying in" for, unlike most hotel associated restaurants. Have fun and enjoy! After writing a review like this, I feel like I should be on staff. K.J.

Worst customer service ever!
By ,
I am glad I received a discounted rate from priceline.com for this hotel. If I would have paid full price I would be more upset. The customer service was the worst part of the hotel. We were in a bad accident on our way to San Antonio and called the hotel to tell them we wouldn't be checking in until the next night. We were told to call Priceline, but we were never told that we would lose our reservation. Luckily one of my friends checked us in that night so that we would have a place to stay. Imagine getting to a hotel only to find that they didn't hold your room or even offer too. The girl that checked us in never smiled and seemed put out that we were there. The day of our departure a bill was slipped under the door for a $10/day resort fee for two days. I was never told about this fee nor did I use their resort for two days. I told the same girl that I wasn't paying the fee and again, she just looked at me and then took it off my card. The only nice staff in the entire hotel were the housekeepers. I just feel that if you are going to pay so much money for a place to stay, then customer service should be their #1 priority and it obviously wasn't. They don't even offer a free breakfast like all the other hotels in the area.

Exceeded my expectations for a Hyatt
By ,
If you are looking for a resort hotel in San Antonio or anywhere in the Southwest, this is an excellent choice- especially for families. At least it was when I stayed- a few years ago. Hotel is very clean, service is great, pool is fabulous, rooms are so comfortable. It is very Texas, and my family loved it. There is plenty to do for everyone. This certainly exceeded my expectations for a Hyatt. Excellent golfing too! It is a little bit of a drive from downtown, but if you are looking to escape the city, metropolitan atmosphere of home- this is a really great choice.
