Residence Inn by Marriott Tempe, Tempe

My experience was based on a business trip where I took my family along. The room was large, though not technically a suite (no separate bedroom) and had a nice layout. The staff was very friendly and eager to please. Amenities were very good; high speed internet, wireless in the lobby and patio. A "social hour" that included free cocktails and "snacks" (a meal really) BBQ on Thursdays (tasty!) and a full kitchen The grounds were attractive and clean. A good breakfast was included (a real one! not just doughnuts!) The staff was very helpful in disabling some of the TV channels, super when traveling with a cartoon channel addicted child! Even though my company paid for the room I feel the rate was good considering the amenities. I stay in lots of “suite” type hotels and this one earns high marks. Very comfortable for the business traveler. Equally so for the family on vacation. Though located in south Tempe, access to I10 and main streets was good.
