A beautiful hotel, but....
By Motofixxer, 03/24/09
The hotel is beautiful and the staff is friendly. But I was quite disappointed with the extra charges. There is no free parking only valet and public across the street behind the hotel. The trains are very obvious. Internet access is a $15 additional charge. For the price of these rooms more should be included. There are plenty other choice hotels, I won't go back.

Great place!

The hotel was beautifully decorated, the views outside our windows were breath taking. The hotel staff helped us with directions getting around chicago. The entire staff was helpful and everyone we encounted was very gracious.

Great location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/09/07
I loved the hotel. The staff was friendly, the room and bed was just outstanding and the view was breath taking. The room that we had overlooked the skyline of the city. Everything we wanted to see and do was in walking distance. We enjoy our stay at Renaissance Chicago and will stay at this hotel again in the near future.

Fun times in the big city.
By Amanda, 07/11/07
The Renaissance is in a good location and the view is great from all the rooms (best I can tell.) It is so easy to get a cab right out the front door entrance. There's a convenient bus stop that took us directly to Shedd Aquarium and to the Field Museum. Also, two train stations are right out the back door. The hotel lobby always has a fresh smell and fresh flowers. My husband and I LOVED our king size bed. We slept great every night. The two negatives are that the hotel breakfast buffet is $20/person which I think is too much. You can a la carte breakfast items which makes it a little more affordable. You can also go down the street and eat for much less. Also, even though you are close to many things, you're still going to walk a lot so wear comfortable shoes or be prepared to pay for a taxi every you go if you don't like to walk. But, that's the fun of a big city, I guess.

The Renaissance is conveniently located in the north Loop, adjacent to the Theater district. Inside, the lobby is elegant and tasteful, and the service is first class.

Highly Recommended
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/09/07
My stay at the Renaissance was great. I was surprised at how quiet the hotel was. It was walking distance from Michigan Ave shopping areas. Not to mention all the amenities the hotel has to offer. I had an amazing view from my hotel window. I would also like to add how clean the hotel was. If you are in the Chicago area and would like to enjoy what Chicago has to offer this is a hotel for you.

Nice rooms, recently remodeled "rejuvinate" spa/gym area. Room service food was even above expectations.
