you get a Ritz type reception both from the staff and the condition of the hotels.the spa is very good and the exercise room is terrific

No Water!

They have a major water flow problem. 2 morning there was barely enough water for the water to come out of the shower head. On the 3rd morning, there was NO water for 45 minutes. Do not stay here if you want to shower in the morning.

A beautiful hotel, but....

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is friendly. But I was quite disappointed with the extra charges. There is no free parking only valet and public across the street behind the hotel. The trains are very obvious. Internet access is a $15 additional charge. For the price of these rooms more should be included. There are plenty other choice hotels, I won't go back.

Good place to stay! My favorite hotel in this area for sure. Staff was kind. Ended up getting this hotel pretty cheap at SweetHotelDeals. Net actually.

Nice Hotel

I enjoyed my stay at this place. I only stayed one night and it was enjoyable. The room was a great size. I had a small view of the Chicago River. The hotel is inbetween the loop and River North so you're in the middle of everything. Transportation is PLENTIFUL (El, Bus, Taxi, even walking). And great restaurants are in the area (if Catch 35 is still around down Wacker Drive, you gotta have the apple pie!!) The only thing I really didnt like was the food at the hotel. Room service was wonderful, but breakfast was horrible!!(and I paid $25 for it).

Not what expected

Was not satisfied with over all trip have stage 4 cancer that has spread to my bones so I reguested a restroom with bars that was handicapped accesible which it was not. For the money we paid I feel there were a lot of things not included in the hotel room I just hope I will be around next year for a vacation in a nicer hotel. Will not come back or recommend this hotel to anyone. I had to put my hands on the bathroom floor to be able to get on and off of the toilet which I did not find exceptable.

Awesome

We have stayed at a lot of Marriot hotels. We are Marriot elite members. This is one of the best. The location is perfect. Views in every direction. The staff also remembers you and what you like. The next stay you don't have to ask!

My Urban Retreat

I love this hotel. The fountains, the view, the bed, pool...the service leaves a little to be desired...but overall this hotel has a great location, the rooms are perfect, and the facilities are outstanding. Only thing is during the holidays it becomes overrun by children and families...eww.
