5 reviews for Courtyard by Marriott Fayetteville, Fayetteville
The ONLY decent hotel in Fayetteville
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/07/07
Let's face it, Fayetteville is NOT a nice place. The town is crime ridden and if you're unfamiliar with the area, you're definitely gambling by booking a hotel blindly over the internet. If this applies to you, then definitely stay at The Courtyard Mariott. It's in the middle of the shopping areas of Fayetteville and convenient to all restaurants. The area is relatively safe and the hotel is clean. This is a new hotel, so it's still in great shape. The staff is helpful and friendly (something else Fayetteville lacks) and the rooms are clean. This property is true to the Mariott name and definitely where you want to stay if visiting Fayetteville. (If attending at graduation at Fort Bragg or visiting someone at either Bragg or Pope AFB, it is easy to get on the highway to the post. You do NOT want to stay any closer to post... trust me.)

Great hotel at an average price.
By Fuzzball, 04/02/07
After searching for hours on the internet and reading pages of reviews about hotels in the Fayeteville area, I felt I was playing Russian Roulette by making a reservation at this hotel. I have stayed at a few Courtyard's before and have had good experiences with them before so I figured this one shouldn't be any different, despite the luke warm reviews I read about it. Thankfully I wasn't let down. Since most of the hotels in the area had roughly the same rate, this one is definitely one of the nicer ones. The rooms were clean and orderly. The grounds were in good repair. The staff was extrememly friendly, including the cleaning staff who always had a smile and a "hello" when you ran into them. The location of this hotel was great too. There are several restaurants around the area within walking distance and the mall is just a short drive away. The only beef I had with this stay is the outrageous price of the continental breakfast. Nine bucks for cereal, muffins and powdered eggs seems a bit extreme, so I'd recommend just going to a nearby restaurant.

Just what you'd expect...

from a quality name like Marriott! We were attending a 50th wedding anniversary in Fayetteville with several other families from out of state. We had been booked into another hotel which was closer to the anniversary couple's home. After one night, because of the run-down condition of the first hotel, we looked elsewhere. The Marriott staff was very accomodating to our needs and was able to secure rooms for all of us on very short notice. The manager came up to our room to help us get our internet connection established and had a small refirgerator brought in. We even overheard a meeting of hotel staff being told of our situation and to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The facillity was well maintained and attractive. The service was excellent! We did end up paying twice what the rate was at the first hotel but it was worth it. There is a breakfast buffet for $8 but it is quite extensive. If you don't want to eat at the hotel, there are many restaurants and fast food places within a mile of the hotel. A couple are right across the street! The pool and hot tub were clean and towels were provided poolside. It may seem a little pricey, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Nice hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/21/05
Great breakfast, very clean and new room, and excellent service. We felt it was a little overpriced for Fayetteville, it wasn't anything exceptional for the price we paid.
