Impressive Accomodations and Service
This hotel is about 20 years old, but Crowne Plaza has gone above and beyond to keep it in excellent condition. The atrium lobby is remarkable, filled with sounds and views of a cascading waterfall and lots of openness. Check-in staff was extremely courteous and helpful, shuttle drivers to/from airport were attentive and very pleasant. The room was huge, extremely clean, well maintained and relatively quiet--specifically, we heard no hallway noise or neighbors the whole time but there was minimal noise from the interstate and airport. Not too bad. Water in the shower took some time to heat up, but the pressure and showerhead were good. Bathroom was average size, and had great lighting and a pullout mirror--nice touches in a hotel. The beds: one of the comforters had a small stain, but they were fantastic--rivaled my favorite beds at Hilton and Hyatt in comfort. We stayed one night in the first week of October and needed heat, which wouldn't come on since we were probably the first to use it for the season. One call downstairs quickly brought a maintenance man who was very professional and pleasant-resolved the problem in a matter of minutes. Wi-fi for a $10 fee, but they had a nice business center off the lobby with free Internet access. In short, this was a very enjoyable overnight stay--great night's sleep, nice, updated furnishings in the room, plenty of space, and a staff that were courteous and professional across the board. And free parking. We've stayed one night at the Airport Hilton...Crowne Plaza beats it hands down!
