Comfort Inn University, Durham

after 2 days in room of 4 day stay i started getting bites all over my body and looked up on line and most likely they are bed bug bites. the rooms are not renovated as said on computer. hot breakfast is not all that meat to salty. old fashion tv, the only good thing was the pool. i checked out 2day and am still itching from room.

My experience there was decent, until I made the mistake of accidently leaving my laptop in the room. As soon as I realized, I contacted them, they informed me they had it and would mail it right away. I gave them my credit card to charge shipping. I never received it, and made multiple calls inquiring about it and was always told to call either that evening, or the next morning, and multiple times was told I would receive a call back. The calls backs never occured, and not once was anyone able to provide any assistance. They eventually told me they did not have it, this being after they confirmed it was there, and told me they would file an insurance claim. The insurance claim was subsequently denied because no one at the hotel ever remembers speaking with me. In other words, no one wanted to lose their job. The hotel itself was sub par, and the customer service the worst I have ever experienced, and I was staying there on gold club membership with Comfort Inn, I would hate to see how they treated their non-prefered customers. I would not suggest staying at this hotel, and if you do, lock up your valuables!!!

requested aroom with a fridge because my sister is insulin dependent with 3 different types. was told only way i was guaranteed a fridge was with a suite. told them i need 2 double beds & that 3 people were coming. got there the suites only come with 1 king size bed and a sleeper sofa. there were sheets and a pillow for the sleeper sofa but no blankets. called desk & requested blankets & was told to come down stairs and get them. one of the vents in the bedroom did not work and when checking them out discovered that the filters needed to be changed really bad. When we complained at checkout and gave them the list of everything we found wrong all the girl did was apologize. she didn't even offer to get the manager. So much for the card in the room that said 100% satisfaction or your room is free. I don't usually complain about things but this was ridiculous. Also on the web site it says pets can stay there but when we got there it said no pets allowed. That was one of the things I looked at in booking a room because we thought we might need to bring our dog.

1ST ROOM MY FAMILY AND I WAS PUT IN HAD ANTS AFTER COMPLAINING TWICE WE WERE MOVED INTO ANOTHER ROOM ON THE 4TH FLOOR WHICH SMELLED LIKE SMOKE BATHROOM WAS DISGUSTING WITH MOLD I WAS NOT IMPRESSED AFTER PAYING THE $99 PER NIGHT RATE AND NO OFFER TO DISCOUNT FOR OUR INCONVIENCE BY CLERK OR MANAGER..LOCATION WAS CONVIENENT TO UNC WE WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN RATE IS TOO HIGH FOR QUALITY

This provided me with the most pleasant motel or hotel experience in 25 years. Spacious,comfortable, relaxing and I even returned from a party early just to enjoy my suite. I have since recommended it to others. I was unhappy w the $107 rate for the last room in the area but when I saw what it was I was more happy. The LR &Dr comb was very good and well furnished even w a full size refrig. The BR was a king and the most tastefully mirrored ceiling I have ever seen. The bath had a dbl jacuuzzi and was very large. Whycan't other motel;s be this way.

The room was very clean. The front desk clerk was extremely friendly. Excellent free breakfast. It was a positive experience overall.
