Hampton Inn, Elizabeth

For the same $75, there probably isn't a better hotel on the Newark airport Route1-9 strip. Good breakfast, but usually quite busy as bus groups and airline personnel use this hotel. Easy to pass on hiway, stay in local lanes, but once there it is guaranteed to be more than acceptable.

We arrived at the proper check-in time, but we were told that our room was not clean yet. We waited 45 minutes before given a room key - only to find out that the room was still not clean. After 15 minutes more, we were finally able to get into a room. The next morning, room service came knocking on our door before 9:00 wanting to clean the room. I think they need a system so they know who has checked out and who has not. Other than that, the rooms were not bad.
