Diamondhead Resort, Diamondhead

The pool is green and cold. If you dare get in watch out its slippery. The hot tub is green and so hot that is almost boiling. You can only put your feet in it for a few seconds. Some of the lights in the halls didn't even work. The chairs by the pool were all broken and dont get me started on the fence around the pool. There is a sign that says dont lean it should say dont touch or it will fall over. I dont know when they took the pictures but I was here in june 2011 and it does not look anything like the pictures.

I have never been to a nastier resort, if this can be called a resort. The first room we were offered, was not cleaned at all. The second room wasn't much better. There was mold growing in the tub area and the sink looked as if it had not been cleaned at all. In our bed covers, we found someone's prescription bottle. This leads me to believe, that even the sheets had not been changed. The air conditioner didn't work properly and it is very hot in the middle of June. The whole place seem to be neglected! We would not have stayed there, if we could have gotten a refund. When we complained, the clerk took our name and number, but we were never contacted.

My sister and my three daughters stayed at the Diamondhead Resort the weekend of. 18th & 19th of June. The place was a total disgrace, A/c's not working,carpet wet, SPA full of brown water the place smell of mold. My youngest daughter stayed there right after Katrina and had the same comments, but we all though that would have changed by now, BUT it hasen't.The place is rated as a two star hotel it is hardly worth no more then a 1/3 star. The name "Diamondhead Resort" is a total laugh and is not much more then a 2 bit hotel.

non working ac, very hot, very uncomfortable moldy, stinky, horrible smells cigarrette smoke in all rooms, including non smoking rooms ants, rolly polly bugs trash under bed no refridgerator or microwave rude housekeeping department staff unprofessional housekeeping supervisor (caught her yelling at staff, in hallways) she is semi tall, brown hair, glasses, wears scrubs. very rude lady cheap, run down, filthy pools and hot tube. run down, resort looks as if katrina hit yesterday has a cheap, ghetto raggedy club cops frequent the parkinglot prostitutes frequent the resort looking for johns. by the interstate, very loud sheets on beds have cigarette burns, some rooms have no pillows, blankets came back smelly. i would reccomend that if anybody passes the diamondhead resort in diamondhead mississippi, they keep going. it is not worth the time or your hard earned money.

Well I've been and have a bunch of pictures and my Grandma, Cousin, Aunt, and Uncle have been and they say its wonderful!!!! It realy is wonderful!!!!!! Just can't wait to go back because they have a bowling alley, an an indoor swimming pool!!!!!!!!!!!! Its the perfect place for you and your family!!

We pulled up to the room as it was getting dark.Tthe police were driving slowly thru the parking lot eyeing people.As we parked I was shocked to see a 300 pound half naked female laying in bed and a crack head looking companion with the curtains open and lights on. I was wishing that Ii had packed a pistol for the trip. PS the place was nasty and a dump.

After traveling with the kids couped up in the car, it was great to drop them into the hotels heated pool after we checked in. After unpacking and showering, we tried the Mexican restaurant off the lobby and wow it was fantastic and the kids liked it. Decided to stop here because it's about a days drive from Disney. Nice clean room, nothing fancy but comfortable.

I stayed at this Resort for a week, due to my job. It do not make any sense how this Resort looks. I understand Hurricane Katrina did alot of damages but Dang did they not have Insurance. I went through Katrina myself. Somebody pocket the money. Then I can not believe they want to charge an extra 10 dollars for the microwave and fridge.That is unreal

FORMERLY Ramada Inn... I was disgusted with this place! I understand damage due to Katrina but it has been a few years and this motel is still molded and nasty! I even took pictures. We ended up with three different rooms. The first room had mold on the walls and ceiling and the carpet was molded, the fridge didn't work, and the telephone didn't work. The man came to check the fridge and phone. When he moved the bed to check the phone wires, the jack was missing and the wires were under the mattress. We complained and they moved us. This "newly renovated" room did not have hot water... we moved again! This time the room did not have a flip lock on the top of the door, the mold wasn't as bad as the others but when we went to heat up leftovers from dinner... no microwave. We paid $10 extra dollars for the fridge/microwave room, so of course we were upset about the micro. Also there was no remote control for the tv in this room. They refused to return our money. The only plus, and I use the term lightly, was that the pool and hot tub were salt water instead of chlorine. Oh yeah, the hot tub motor was broken. there is absolutely NO excuse for this motel to look like this years after the hurricane. Also, in the main areas of the motel, the brick walls (high up at the top) are molded and water-damaged. The health dept needs to investigate the mold issue.

i have been going to this hotel since i was a little kid and always loved it! this is where my family has had many birthdays and always had a good time! we live in ocean springs and traveled over all the time just to stay there and have birthday parties and the people have never been rude to us! i would go back many times again!
