The motel was clean, and most importantly NO SIGN of bedbugs. We got the no smoking with two double beds... the room was a bit small for three adults but not horribly small. The only real drawback was the Wi-Fi. All the other locations we stayed on this trip gave free Wi-Fi, this location charges $2.99 per day. Not a big deal, though, as we do have a mobile hot spot. A bit hard to find at night, but we had our GPS so we didn't miss the turn.
Nothing special but nothing horrible...Wifi internet is ridiculous one card per computer but they failed to tell us and you have to pay per computer, when husband complained they just gave him a 1-800 # to call. Hot water in shower gets cold quick and then goes back to hot. No way to let room service know that you don't want them in your room (I like my privacy). The heater would run really hot and then when you would set it ....it would get too cold. It would have been nice to have a refrigerator and neither me or my husband smoke but they put us in a room that people smoke in and we have our baby with us. Had to fight with door to shut it. Would have been nice to have a mini refrig. considering we had our baby with us. I think we will pay more money to go somewhere else though.
I was impressed by the security patrols during the night in the parking lot. There didn't seem to be any trouble makers, that you find at alot of cheaper motels.
The room was very simple, no extras. We had two beds, TV, and phone. I wish there had been an alarm clock, that would have been nice.
The staff was very nice, I forgot my key card and locked it in the room, they were very nice at gave me another one.
The motel seemed to cater mostly to construction workers that are from out of town, and working local contracts. With this said there was hardly any noise after 9pm almost every one was asleep, although around 5:30am every morning there was alot of noise from diesel pickups and construction vehicles leaving.
Overall I was pleased, you can't beat it for the price, east access to the highway and to anywhere in Spartanburg that you need to go. Several food places within 1 mile.
My BIGGEST complaint, NO WIFI!!! but they told me they would have it soon, so ask before hand if you are needing to use your laptop.
