Some security issues

I stayed overnight with my family at the Days Inn in Spartanburg. We were on our way to Myrtle Beach. The hotel description mentioned a recent renovation. That renovation was still in progress, and our room had not been renovated yet and was very shoddy. We checked in after 4pm, around 5pm a member of housekeeping barged into the room. She looked very surprised to see us there, and stammered and asked if we needed anything. I said "Privacy would be nice", and she exited the room. She didn't have any cleaning gear with her, I wondered what she was doing in the room. Next, I took my children to the pool for a swim. There was some fruit actually floating in the pool, I joked that this was our continental breakfast. On our way back to the room, we were confronted by a man attempting to sell us what appeared to be stolen jewelry. What a place. There were people coming and going all night, making sleep very difficult. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with a family.
