Alpina Hotel, Anniviers

This was the friendliest and most value for our money stay in Switzerland. The hotel staff was eager to be helpful, right down to giving ice for that sore knee at the end of the long hike ! The hotel is very close to the gondola and equally close to the "historic, old town" The rooms were fine, though asked to move to back as original room was over playground and next to rode-very noisy. I was moved cheerfully and quickly. The dining room and meals were excellent and again the staff was very accommodating. I am definitely planning to return next year . My friend had very sore feet and was opting for the bus when I hiked, but the owner was going in that direction and gave her a ride-how much nicer could that be ?
