Super 8 Amsterdam Ny, Amsterdam

This place was disgusting......Room was dirty...furniture was filthy.....Non smoking room that smelled like cigarettes....Found a gallon of spoiled milk in the mini-fridg.....smoke detector was hanging by it's wires from the ceiling...Door stop was ripped from the wall....Breakfast area consisted of three small tables next to reception desk...Temperature in breakfast area was 85 degrees.....We were charged $115 for one night stay on a Saturday in July...Called back just before writing this review to check price...and they quoted me $89 for a Saturday in August

Stayed at the super 8 in amsterdam for one night.Will never stay there again.Rooms were very filthy and needs major updating.Staff was very rude.Found ants in the room and a used condom under the bed.

After reading the mixed reviews on the property I decided to try it and see how it played out. I was not disappointed, it was your stereotypical Super 8 which provided the usual fare. I am not pleased with this policy where you can't put the room on a card in advance and pay cash when you arrive. That will be another survey and review. This hotel provided ample parking though the location is crammed in off the NY Thruway. The rooms were acceptable with no horror stories - I didn't wake up with massive sores and finding a body under the bed frame. The staff was friendly and courteous and helped me immensely with my handicapped mother. I would reccomend this Super 8 to travelers coming through the area - remind yourself it isn't geared for family - no pool or close attractions..
