La Quinta Inn Columbus, Columbus

Stayed for three nights in April on visit to Ft Benning-Each night worse that the last-Hallways dirty and unvacumed --room service (towels ,soap) very late and had to ask Noise level at night unbearable--Complaints to Front Desk were not helpful- Young Soldiers unfortunately out of control with drunkeness and unacceptable behavior--Management did nothing to correct situation-Upon leaving Desk Clerk apologized to me--said they had four "Evicts" night before(High School Prom kids thrown out by management) with assist from Columbus Police In formed me that room above mine was used by young GI's who were doing Combatives, PT and MMA fighting at 0200 hrs--Nice! All four of my children are or were on Active Duty -I am a proud veteran--I love our Soldiers but this place is out of control-- Young GI's need very strong handling and a sense of fear and accountability for their behavior Do Not Stay if you want to get even a little rest--

Don't know the meaning of a non smoking room. Toilet had not been cleaned and billed my credit card even after I paid cash for the room. I guess I should have known there was going to be a problem when I checked in and the lady at the check in was on the phone advising someone that they did not have security, and if he/she had a problem to call 911. If you need somewhere to stay related to Fort Benning Graduation. CHOOSE ANOTHER HOTEL.

When I arrived at about 2 in the morning of March 13, the night attendant was very friendly and helpful. He gave us extra towels, blankets, etc. The rooms were comfortabe and clean. I enjoyed the continental breakfast. The hotel was not far from Fort Benning Army base, which was very convenient. I plan to return this month (May) for my second son that is graduating from basic training. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The pool wasn't available for use. The bed linens felt unclean. The cable wasn't working in the room except for pay-per-view. The staf was friendly, though and the young lady who checked me was helpful. I did not get the best rate available and had a very hard time getting my second night refunded. I would not ever use Yahoo travel to plan a trip again.

At first I was skeptical when I made the reservations on-line but surprised at the service at the front desk,(Yvonne and Tiffiney) and the little german lady at the breakfest bar. My room was a comfortable 2 bed room that was alawys clean and the beds were comfy as well. The location was convient since I was there for a short stay 21-24 Sep 2005 to see my son's graduation from U.S. Army Basic Training. It's conviently located with a Mall across the street and several restaurants nearby within walking distance. If I ever had to go to Columbus, Georgia again I would pick them again.

Everyone was friendly and nice. The staff smiled and handled everything we needed. The room was clean and in good shape. There were a bunch of what I believe were basketball players there (young) and even with them there it didn't get too rawdy. We enjoyed our stay and I would recommend it to everyone!!
