My husband and I are retired and determined to see as much of the world as lies within our realm of possibility. Our requirements are different than businessmen, couples with children, or honeymooners. Affordability, accessibility, comfort and a reasonable amount of convenience determine our decisions. We spend most of our time out of the hotel sightseeing, visiting friends,or exploring restaurants and attractions we haven't gotten around to yet. While the hotel does not offer the widest range of amenities a pricier establishment would, it more than meets our expectations. We sacrifice no comfort for the money we save, which means our vacation can be extended. That's what retirement's all about, isn't it?
