A Wonderful Place to Stay!
I looked at a lot of hotels before choosing this place. I stayed here 15-17th Deciembre. It is in the heart of the Colonial Zone, and I liked that I could walk and see the historic sections, return to change or eat, and then go back out again. It is a relatively modern 4 story hotel with an elevator. I had a great view and a balcony of sorts overlooking the street. The room was clean and was cleaned daily. Having a safe was nice because I could worry less about the vagrants and scam artists on the streets lusting after American money. The hotel had a restaurant that served OK food and an internet computer near the entry. I would definitely stay here again and I recommend it to others. By the way, if you are looking for a place to stay, check the hotel out by name, rather than using these sites to find and book. I learned that these sites (yahoo, expedia, travelocity, etc) raise the prices to profit unreasonably off Americans. When you go to the hotel website directly, you will find the rates far cheaper. This discovery really made me question all the times I have paid top dollar to stay at hotels out of the United States. As the Dominicans told me time and time again, "Americans are the cash cows of the world."
