Bavarian Motel, Invercargill

cold room ,warmer outside!, service you want , dont stay here , 4 plus star ,try 2.5 star , better options down the road ,

Went to checkin at 4.30pm and person in charge we told us we couldn't check in till 6.00pm . Asked why , the motels checkin time policy . Been a long day , travelled from auckland with wife and 2 small children. We left and found another motel down the road , much better service . The comments from other motel were "Thats common practice from this Motel" He also tryed to charge our credit card saying we were a no show . From this a Experience Stay well away from this AWFUL Motel in invercargill.

This is the best motel We have stayed in ever! Best rooms, clean tidy & helpful hosts. We recommend this place to all travelers. Other reviewers have the wrong motel, take no notice of them.

My visit was for Business I've never stayed in such a dirty, uncomfortable motel in my life. I am a seasoned traveler around New Zealand, and I have realistic expectations, but even so, this place stunned me. The room smelled damp the entire time I was there, and there was no way to open a window to rectify this. The carpet and the floor in the bathroom were both utterly filthy, and I couldn't get a clean towel in 5 days despite asking repeatedly. The towel that was in the room had a mark that looked like and smelled like feces, so I was forced to use a t-shirt to dry off. But it got even worse. The pillows were just a pillowcase stuffed with bits of foam and something else. They had no pillowcase over this, and I'm not sure how they wash these. Having smelled them, I am convinced that they don't wash them. The bed was entirely concave, and there was no way to avoid rolling to the middle and sleeping on the hardest part of the bed. By day 4 I had permanent back-ache. The staff were rude on every occasion that I had to deal them.

Dirty, needs a good clean , smelly room , not nice. 4 stars should be 1 star . Poor Service , mould in bathroom , no hot water, kettle didn't work, heater in living room needs to be replaced , this place is a health hazard .

bad tempered and moody manager, booked in with for family unit 2 adults and two kids busy ,noisey main road, told ten minutes from airport ,took us 20 minutes . unit wasn't family friendly , tv,dvd didn't work ,heater on no go , no hot water for a shower in morning . stayed only one night , kids couldn't even play outside without being yelled out by manager. however found better place up the road

Avoid staying at this motel The unwelcome we received on arrival. just says all , the place lost our booking, paid the deposit ,still claimed no booking, showed them a receipt and e-mail confirmation .These guys are on different planet. Finally checkin and checked out very quickly WHAT A DUMP .

Unit very dirty and smell of animal piss, Towels has stains and linen on beds was musty smelling,Heater and tv didn't work and milk supplied was over week out of date . Very rude and bad tempered person in charge (John) . We were not impressed with this sort of service .

All the other reviews said it like it is. Please ignore 2 bogus reviews, obviously they never stayed at Bavarian Motel. Great place. We will be back and recommend it to all.

We liked the hosts Annabel & John The room was warm on our arrival and the late checkout was a real bonus We could have slept on Home cooked breakfast was to die for
