BE WARNED - this place is HORRIBLE!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/28/11
We were driving from MA to OH, and every hotel from Rochester on was booked solid. I called 30-40 hotels before calling the Buffalo Tourist Lodge (which I found on my phone's GPS), and was thrilled that they had a vacancy. Well... I can see why!!! Filthy carpet, decades-old TV that didn't work, bathroom door didn't close, a centipede in the shower, and we were afraid to sleep on the sheets so we lay down on top of the bedspreads (which, come to think of it, probably had never seen a washing machine). I was awake worrying about bedbugs for longer than I was asleep. The neighborhood is seedy and we were afraid our car would be broken into. Also, the guy at the desk said his credit card machine was 'broken', and made us pay cash. I will never, ever, be going back there again, and if every other hotel room in the country is booked I will sleep in my car before checking in to that "hotel". I am POSITIVE that someone is being paid to write positive reviews about this place, because no one in their right mind would recommend this hole-in-the-wall.

stuck in buffalo blizzard
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/29/11
I was stuck in February during a typical Buffalo blizzard at work downtown and I couldn't drive home to the suburbs for a couple of nights. The Buffalo Tourist Lodge gave me a nice, safe room to stay while the roads became driveable again

mother operation
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/26/11
My mother was having an eye operation last month and the Buffalo Tourist Lodge was right across the street from where the operation took place. It worked out well that we could stay at the hotel and didn't have to get up 3 hours early to get ready to pick her up. Price was good and the rooms were more than adequate! Hope I don't have to come back for the same procedure but the Buffalo tourist Lodge was one nice thing that came out of it

Good time was had by all at a nice motel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/25/11
My family and I were on a camping trip to Southwestern New York from our home in Binghamton but we needed to stop for the night before we got to the site the next day. All of the other name hotels were booked and I had a AAA guidebook which mentioned the Buffalo Tourist Lodge. I am usually skeptical of "mom and pop" motels but, we decided to give it a chance. My family and I are glad we did! The room was very clean and in good shape and the customer service was solid as well as the price. Not usually in the Buffalo area but, I would definitely recommend the Buffalo Tourist Lodge to those needing a room away from home!

Buffalo Tourist Lodge was all positive!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/19/11
I was on a union construction job downtown for about a month and needed a place to crash being that my home is in Syracuse. All other hotels wanted outrageous money for a monthly stay but, the Buffalo Tourist Lodge came through with a good price and a nice room. Would stay again if on another job or in the area and needed a place.

Buffalo Tourist Lodge came through in the clutch
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/18/11
My friends asked me to help them move into their new home in Downtown Buffalo. I would have stayed with them but their house was in shambles. Anyhow, I needed a place to stay for the night that wasn't going to break the proverbial "bank" and found the Buffalo tourist Lodge. The price was good, room was nice and the service was friendly. Stayed for two days and helped move my friends into their house. I would definitely recommend to others and would stay again if ever in the need for a motel for the night.

Wonderful time at the Buffalo Tourist Lodge
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/17/11
I was coming here from Spain to visit on a visa and wanted to see Buffalo and the Niagara Falls area. It was on a list that someone back home gave me about best places in the United States to visit. I was on a limited budget and was trying to get the most value I could in regard to food and lodging. Some of the chain hotels in the area were pricey but, someone suggested the Buffalo Tourist Lodge b/c it was convienient to downtown and all of the sites. When I arrived at the B.T.L the night manager, was very helpful and provided me with a clean, comfortable, safe room at a good price. I would defiitely stay again.

Had a nice stay at the Buffalo Tourist Lodge
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/16/11
I went to visit my cousin who was at Roswell Park for cancer treatment and needed a place to stay for a few nights. The Tourist Lodge was reasonably priced, close to the hospital and met my expectations. Hopefully I can come back to the downtown area on better terms, and if I need a place to stay for a night or so, I would definitely come back!
