No customer service whatsoever!
By ,
My room was shared with wasps (I was stung by one) and General Manager would not address the fact that this happened; he had a third tier employee call me after I had departed but he himself, refused to take my subsequent calls nor call me himself. Guest in another room had to wait two hours for workers to repair a faulty toilet and as a result missed a businesss appointment.General Manager ignored his obligation to talk to that guest about their problem. Great looking place with lots of charm but with a General Manager who in a cowardly manner refuses to show clients any form of appreciation or concern for problems with their accomodations, the place looses all appeal. Caveat emptor.

Great for a Get-Away
By ,
My husband and I have stayed at Dunleith twice in the past year. It is a lovely experience! The staff is friendly, the amenities are wonderful and the scenery is simply wonderful. Spend the extra money and reserve a room in the main house. The rooms are extravagant and stepping out on the veranda is so enjoyable. In addition to the beautiful rooms, the Castle restaurant, located on the grounds, is a jewel. We can't wait for our next trip to Dunleith.

A Romantic Place to Stay!
By ,
My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Dunleith. What a romantic place. We stayed in the General Lee, which was beautiful. We both enjoyed sitting on the rockers on the veranda with our morning coffee. It's conveniently close to downtown but far enough away that one can truly enjoy stepping back in time. The grounds are beautiful and we both enjoyed the house tour, which was included with our stay. We ate dinner and breakfast (also included) at the Castle, both were excellent ~ the breakfast grits were the best. We are both looking forward to going back to Natchez.

The best plantation in Natchez
By ,
This is the only plantation in Natchez that actually allows guests to stay in the main house. All of the other plantations in Natchez have rooms that are not in the actual plantation. Wonderful plantation!!!!

Definitely would Stay Again!
By ,
My husband and I stayed for one night during a short visit to Natchez. We stayed in the wing area because the other rooms were already full on such a short notice. It seemed small, but did have a full bed and a twin bed in it with plenty of room to walk around and get dressed. The bathroom was quite large and had plenty of light. The TV was very small, but we weren't there for watching television. They do have high speed wireless internet if you need it. The staff was very helpful and accommodating and the grounds were simply gorgeous. We spent lots of time walking around and enjoying the place. The Castle Restaurant southern style breakfast was incredible. Everything was homemade and delicious. The main house is definitely worth the extra money to stay in those rooms, but you won't be disappointed in the wing area either!

Beautiful, awesome place
By ,
I loved this place the second I walked into it. Talk about feeling like you are really living in those times. I stayed in the main house on the second floor. The room wasn't very big, but it didn't matter because right outside the door was the front porch of the plantation. My family and I spend the most time out on the porch because it was so beautiful. The service was awesome, they are very helpful and sweet. The food was top line. The entire time I felt like royalty. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody who is looking for a relaxing place to stay.

The best place to stay in Natchez. Also has the best restaurant in town. There are few good places to eat in this lovely old city.

i want to stay in the big house
By ,
my husband and I, in an attempt to cut expenses, stayed in one of the adjoining wings. It was very satisfactory, but the rooms in the main house are incredible. The grounds are gorgeous and the complimentary breakfast in the restaurant is to die for. Hopefully, once our children complete college(whenever),we will be sleeping in the big house.

Dunleith is the top of our list for Natchez
There was no comparison between Dunleith and any other location we'd ever stayed in including the luxury hotels we stayed at on our honeymoon! The 1800's charm is dripping all over the grounds and the rooms - reviewers are right to suggest that the rooms in the main house - particulary the four on the second floor (the 400 series of room numbers) are WELL WORTH the modest extra $$ per night. The sheer hight of the rooms is both daunting and impressive at once, and the period-authentic draperies and furniture are perfect. The bathrooms - especially again those on the 400-series rooms are huge with large tubs and showers and nearly worth the extra $$ per night in and of themselves. The food, while pricey for non-breakfast meals, is wonderful - and signficant savings are available with the packages they offer (we checked and the savings on our meal was over 50% :-). My wife and I can find nothing negative to say about this property - obviously it's not the cheapest property - but if you know what you expect in this price range - there is virtually no chance you'll be disappointed.
