26 reviews for Los Angeles Adventurer All Suite Hotel, Inglewood
I
By Rena Moonkitty Meow, 01/29/10
This hotel was amazing! Admittedly I’ve never stayed at a hostel before and when I looked online and saw this location was a hostel, I was very nervous. But the reviews were great and the Google satellite was promising so I figured why not. My friends and I stayed there and I have never been SO HAPPY to do something that worried me initially!! That staff was so nice, the amenities were fantastic! and at the end of the day when I spent too much money in LA and was hesitant to spend another dime, even on food, the free dinner buffet was certainly a life saver. The heated pool amidst the chilly weather was an addition the guys couldn’t live without and the other hotel guests were a blast. Needless to say, when I go back to LA in February I’m staying here and nowhere else! To keep the review honest I only have 2 complaints: The shower head in the bathroom was not technically a shower head and sprayed in an odd fashion and there was no peep hole on the door, so when the cleaning crew came knocking about noon right after I got out of the shower I had to open the door wrapped in a towel and toothbrush in my mouth to a very surprised little woman. Apart from that … This may be my new favorite hotel in Los Angeles!!

Thw worst hotel I have ever seen
By majid, 01/10/10
I come from Boston and Ia m very disappointed. Be very carefull, this is the worst place I have ever seen: Dirty from the front desk to all inside, water smeel very bad, rooms are very cold, customer service is very very poor. Don't waste your mony going to this hotel, this one should not be called a hotel, to sleep outside like a homeless is beter than staying here. Don't waste your money.

Stay away from this greedy hotel!
By Lillium, 12/07/08
Be cautious with this hotel. It is managed by a crop of greedy people. They charged about $70 to my credit card for zero night I stayed in the hotel. After I called the hotel instantly after realizing a mistake I made by accidentally submitting booking information via its website, I was told my credit card would be charged any way. They thought I should give 24 hours notice in advance to cancel the reservation. Otherwise, they wouldn't accept cancellation. Based on that mistake, I was supposed to stay in the hotel the same day I booked it. It was impossible to give a notice 24 hours in advance. As a result, my credit card was charged for around $70, heavyhandedly, without my using of any service of the hotel. They stupidly thought I could do nothing with this charge. So, please stay away from this hotel, if you care about the security of your money.

Relaxed atmosphere, clean rooms, amenities, price
By Van, 07/23/08
My wife liked the place and she is finicky. The room was newly renovated and clean; no mildew. Lots of outlets; no problem charging everything. The price, good reviews and 2.4 miles from LAX is what got us there. Arrived on a Monday at noon from our winter home 143 miles away choosing to stay the night here rather than making a 2 AM rush in the morning. The approach to the place was disconcerting due to the less then ascetic neighborhood. The marquee does not exactly say “Los Angeles Adventurer” so we missed it on the first go-around even though our GPS said “You have arrived!”. The marquee is a classic; something of Flash Gordon 50’s flashback suggesting an off-beat character that sets it apart from the chains nearby. When we pulled in there was a convention of young people from Detroit arriving at the same time, so there was no place to park. I parked on a red curb, went inside and told the clerk we were parked illegally. She gave me a card that got us through the tall locked gate around the corner to the right. That gate provided an unexpected transition from the LA highway hubbub to another quieter place of cottages, lawns and a tropical jungle of enormous old trees and floral vegetation. We parked in a lot between the obligatory long stucco buildings. One of those roofs was lined with solar panels, a definite plus, and the lot had a surprising number of high end cars, like their owners knew something about the place. The tall iron fence surrounding the property pretty much neutralized any concerns. We carried our bags along a short path between the trees that opened to a large sunny swimming area and an adjacent covered patio of gardens and tables draped in red cloth with cushioned bamboo chairs around them. A raw bar wrapped a corner of old polished wood, brass and glass. A pool table sat ready for a leisurely game. A bank of computers in cubicles were set against a distant wall beyond the other end of the pool. Though we had reserved a room online I asked for a quiet room away from the lobby. She reassigned us to suite 237 at the far west end of the place, about as far away as you can get. However we never heard or saw the Detroit crowd again; the place was quiet and relaxing for the rest of the day and night. One of the rooms in our suite was on the Century Blvd side. Closing the door between eliminated the muffled noise of traffic. The entry door and large picture window looked over a sunlit wrought iron stairway, well lighted at night, surrounded by more tropical vegetation reaching high into the sky in the long narrow space between the buildings. Decelerating passenger jets passed overhead as they approached LAX but well to the south so that they were not heard as we slept that night. We enjoyed a pleasant meal at their in-house but out of the way Fair Seas Restaurant. It began with a complimentary hot fluffy and tasty loaf of bread. The chef visited with the diners to ask how we liked our meals. Eileen’s fish dinner was nothing to brag about, but then a New Englander really should not expect much in LA. My garnished meat loaf was very good and the meals were arranged nicely. The attractive colorful and well designed atmosphere was inviting and relaxing. Our waitress earned a good tip. Eileen spent the evening reading and watching TV. I spent it on the gardened patio downloading email into my wireless notebook and working on my journal. Then to a comfortable bed. Our 5 AM drive to the airport was casual and uneventful, the reason we had stayed the night to begin with. I have been keeping a journal on my website since long before blogs and I was adding this experience (5 months late) when I ran a search to get the address of the place and to confirm some details. In the process I discovered a few bad reviews that were so far out of our own experience that I decided to add my 2 cents. Those were some good hard working and receptive people I encountered there; they deserve a thanks.

Dirty, mean and nasty!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/07
This place was Dirty with a capital "D." Believe the other reviews listed here; I respect myself less as a person for having stayed here during my 9 hour layover. The hallway was filled with bags of garbage and broken furniture when we arrived. Room had too many problems to list but my favorite was the water that shot out from behind the wall when I ran the shower. Front desk told me that because I complained, I would have to wait ten minutes longer for them to call the shuttle. Free buffet consisted of white rice, french fries, tater tots and old tortilla chips! In a two block walk, I was approached by four beggars. . . two were too high to speak coherently. Customer service was horrible to put it in a nutshell. Save yourself some cash and just stay at the bus station or the homeless shelter, either would be cleaner, friendlier, and more comfortable. If you stay here, don't blame me!

Excellent Value and LOTS OF FREE STUFF
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/07/07
I would highly recommend this stay for anyone coming into LA. Not only were they really close to LAX, but they offer a free shuttle to Marina del Rey, Venice, Shopping, etc. The free shuttle to LAX was perfect for us too. We were able to save tons of money because of the free transportation, food, and drinks at this place. We were actually in the bunks for most of our stay, but then we switched to a private room and they were really nice. We barely spent much more individually and we had our own place. It looks like they are changing their rooms, so maybe it is under new management or something. Someone is doing something right!!!! The pool is also the greatest! The value on this stay beats any of our other stays throughout our travel in US and Canada. Sharon (front desk) - thanks for the room switch suggestion. We had a great time at your spot!!!!!
