Variable but generally good experiences

I have been staying at this particular Crowne Plaza for about 7 years. It is the closest to the airport. Generally speaking my experience has been positive, but variable. The bar tends to attract drunken travels, who are not controlled by the hotel staff. They can be very loud. Since the dining room is co-located with the bar, don't plan on a quite meal on some nights. The hours of the bar and cafe are not great. The hotel staff have largely been good, but this can vary a bit. Not really bad, occasionally excellent. The place needs to be refurbished. The elevators are dark and look much older than they should. The lobby is nice. The coffee shop opens way too late for early travelers. The parking garage is adequate, but way clearly not built with larger vehicles in mind. The shuttle service is excellent and timely for both pickup at the hotel and the airport. The hotel is right next to the light rail. One day this will be great, but the hotel needs to invest in some security. There were too many drunks and homeless people around the property. I tend to stay here a lot for business travel. It is less expensive and easier than trying to get an early morning flight from Yuma and having to then change terminals in Sky Harbor. There is nothing in a short walking distance if you want to eat out; however, if you want to walk about a mile the Chinese Cultural Center has great food.
