Capricorn Resort Yeppoon, Yeppoon

My wife who was 6 months pregnant booked this hotel as a special treat for me. She was devastated this place is a shocker from vomit in the lift to a positively unhygenic room. This place really has to lift its act the grounds and restaurant were nice but the rest was absolutely horrible. I am a blue collar worker having spent time in the armed services and not some little princess, I was apalled with hygene of the room.

our room was outstanding i loved the decor and would stay any given time. The cleaners did an outstanding job and the resturant staff were loverly. pool was a little cold. but that was it. i would be happy to return anything

the rooms are dated, the upper management staff were less than helpful and don't deserve their titles... the security at the hotel pushed one of the people i was travelling with and rydges did nothing about it. the actual grounds were fantastic and great for our kids... if you are after any entertainment at night at all don;t go there.. they close the pool bar whenever they feel like (some nights at 6pm) and the only other area does not allow children under 18 after 9.00pm. They also do not allow thongs (or open toed shoes) in the bar!!! It was stinking hot when we were there (jan 2007) and what did they expect us to wear? Overall, I would not recommend this property. There are so many great resorts in Australia that i would go back to before I would step fot back in a Rydges..
