Canadian Aloha Spirit

After a negative experience with the border guards, our first pleasant Canadians were the hotel staff. They were friendly and helpful in every way. The room was perfect and very clean. We can't say enough about the free breakfast bar on the second floor...what a treat! When we heard that there was a continental breakfast, we were expecting a few donuts and luke-warm coffee. Instead, we were treated to a wide variety of hot cinnamon rolls, oatmeal, fresh fruits, cereals, toast, hard-boiled eggs, assorted milks and juices.
There is a brand new washer and dryer located on the third floor. So new in fact that some staff members did not know the hotel had opened a laundry room. The washer and dryer both require 6 quarters (Canadian or U.S. will work).
At checkout time, we discovered we had purchased more than we could pack in our suitcases, at the mall next door. The housekeeping staff kindly located an empty box for us.
One last comment..During our stay, they were replacing a section of carpet in the lobby and there was a notice that the exterior of the hotel would soon be painted. It seems that the hotel is doing everything possible to remain attractive.
