Worst Customer Service in VT
By Rachel, 6/2/08
I got invited for a timeshare tour from a "winning ticket" at the VT Craft Fair. I drove over 2 hours at $4 per gallon of gas, had not timed the drive and was running about 15 minutes behind. I called to tell them this and was told I'd be fine. When I showed up I was treated horribly and told I was too late for the tour, regardless of the time and money I spent to get there and the fact that I called to inform of my tardiness. The whole point of the "contest" was to spread a positive word - so they said. I have never been treated as such a second class citizen and am sure the fact that I was wearing a T-shirt and jeans had more to do with not being allowed on the tour than anything else. I am disgusted with the North Star Lodge and as a Vermonter embarrassed at the entire experience.

AWESOME!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/26/07
I was surprised by the North Star Lodge. The pictures don't do it justice. I went there with a reservation for a regular king room. When I got to the front desk they offered me an upgrade to a suite with a 20% discount. I did a lot of research prior to choosing the North Star Lodge and this deal worked out be the best by far. The room was beautiful. Brand new, clean, tastefully decorated. It had a full kitchen, living room, large bedroom with a two person hot tub in the corner. We were planning to spend the night going to restaurants and bars but after seeing the room we ordered in and stayed all night. I hated leaving the next morning. Aside from the room, the rest of the lodge was very nice. The front desk was helpful and the outdoor pool was a great way to relax after skiiing. The only complaint was the continental breakfast. Not much to choose from. Other than that, a great stay. The location was within minutes of the mountain and right near town. I will definately go back.

Great Location!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/22/07
Been staying at North Star for over 10 years. Its always been the "best bang for your buck" on Killington Access Road. Just a short walk to Grist Mill or The Summit's great gormet restaurant. The staff is friendly and responsive. The changes made recently (suites with a great view) are a wonderful addition. We try to get a mountian view suite every time. The "continental breakfast" leaves a lot to be desired, but there are other places close by to take care of the morning hunger. We are looking forward to our next stay at North Star.
