40 reviews for Valley Forge Inn, Pigeon Forge
Will not stay another night
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/21/09
Stayed overnight on December 18, 2009 was going to stay two nights. Room was ok except for very dirty carpet but the bed was broken down (Room 139). Bed was if a 500 pound person had slept on it for years on the right side only. When advised of this she staff in the AM only advised that they would check it out. No discounts for Military, AAA, AARP ect. At 9"32 AM entered the breakfast room and was advised that breakfast was over at 9:30, nothing was put up at this time but we followed the mans advise and left. Payed the bill (no discounts Military, AAA, or AARP) and left and will not be back. We have stayed here several times during the rod runs and weekends, and have observed it go downhill over the years. Our club WILL stay at another motel this year (2010)!

Would Stay Here Again!
By Rachel, 12/07/09
I just returned from a two night stay at the Valley Forge Inn in Pigeon Forge, TN. We were looking for a cheaper priced hotel due to budget reasons but wanted something decent and clean as well. After reading reviews I thought the Valley Forge fitted our needs and it did. The room was much larger than any chain hotel room I've ever stayed in. We had the standard two queen bed room. The room did have two queen size beds (I hate hotels that say they have queen beds and don't) and had a small round table with two chairs, small tv, microwave and fridge. The free wireless internet worked great, I used it several times during our stay and never once had a connection or slow browsing problem. Make sure you ask for your username and password at check in. Everyone gets their own and they won't give it to you over the phone. Otherwise you'll have to make a trip back to the office. I didn't use the breakfast. My mother did and said it was limited. We did use it for milk and juice though. I think they had some cereal, muffins, small donuts, bagels, etc.... My 8 month old daughter crawled all over the room....Never found anything odd to pick up and eat which she even does at home. And she never had dirty clothes or black hands from the floor which surprised me because I would expect to get that at most any hotel as I've even had my socks turn black at other hotels. I didn't use the pools, but even it being off season the outdoor pools were clean. NOT green and icky looking like some hotel pools we passed on the road. The indoor pool also looked clean and the pool room was nice and steamy. We didn't really use the maid service. They came by the one full day we were there and we were in the room and just told them all we needed was towels and trash taken out. They did exactly what we asked and they were american and communicated with us. Which was nice for a change. Front desk clerks were friendly, we locked ourselves out of our room and were giving a new key with no fees or problems. The water got hot easily and stayed hot and the water pressure was great. Beds were comfy to me, but everyone has their own taste in mattresses. I think we paid $68.99 a night and I believe we got what we paid for with a bigger room than we would have got paying $80+ a night at other hotels. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Have stayed here more than once...

The rooms were clean and the service was great. It is run by Christian people and we liked that. Family rooms are NICE. Will use it again and again I am sure.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/03/09
Stayed last week of July 09. The rooms were dirty, management rude (not workers) and WiFi weak or not at all in back river view room. had problems with key cards on all 3 rooms may faimly stayed in. Management blamed us not their equipment.

Home away from Home
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/25/09
I ve been coming to pigeon forge since 1986 and we have tried other places to stay but we keep coming back to Valley Forge Inn .They have always had pleasant workers and clean rooms . The only thing I do not like is the indoor pool area needs to be more vented .

first time,-but won't be the last
By the way it shoud be, 08/15/09
the rooms were clean, the beds were firm but not rock hard, they were quite comfortable. the water pressure in the shower was perfect- and I didn't have to stoop to use it, the staff was friendly, the heated pool was the perfect temp, plenty of choices in room layouts. it was one of the nicest hotel visits we have ever had. the only complaint I have was that the fan in the air conditioner didn't work. the air conditioning was either on or off- not that I needed the fan for anything but the noise...the room got too cold with the air conditioner running , so we had to turn it off to keep from freezing, but couldn't stand the silence, we missed the option of just running the fan, but we willl not let that stop us from returning -we had a great time!

Stayed in BETTER motels
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/28/08
The staff at front desk were very friendly. The room was clean but had an odor, the bathroom was tiny and was located behind front door and the beds were very hard, floor would have been softer to have slept on.I didn't like the hours for the pool, my daughter would have liked to swam past 10:00, they need to keep pool open longer. If I ever stayed again I will check the rooms out first.

A great place to get away!
By janice, 02/13/08
My family and I have stayed at the Valley Forge Inn for 17 years. It is by far the nicest, friendliest hotel in pigeon forge. I have stayed at several other hotels but always come back to them. the price is reasonable and the rooms are always clean. My children loved the two pools, and now I am down to just one child at home, she loves it too!!
