Rooms very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Will go back any time.

Rooms have a terrible odor, which I was told was from their carpet cleaner. Had to sleep with the balcony door open to "air out" the room. The odor irritated my allergies and I had to seek medical attention. Room TV "sticks" on a channel. Room doors do not easily open, so door slammings and people grumbling were heard up and down the hallway throughout the night and early morning hours. Night front desk clerk was extremely rude when I complained and kept calling the room to harass me. Overpriced breakfast with leather sausage and runny eggs. The internet service is not free and is not secure. Maid and maintenance man both ignored the "do not disturb" sign and barged into the room. I was supposed to stay two nights, but left after one. There are other hotels in the area, so definitely avoid this one.

We stayed at this Courtyard by Marriott because it was close to Hyde Park. Not a relaxing experience. A youth organization came to the pool without adult supervision. They were having fist fights and diving in the whirlpool or hot tub. I had to leave and take a quiet bath in my room. Also, the breakfast cost $8. I had to check out early and go to a Dunkin Donuts down the road.

Nice staff, very clean rooms, comfy beds, great location, smoke free enviornment, indoor pool, good coffe, free cookies, snack shop, restraunt on location, GREAT security! not too expensive. bottom line: stay here if you go to poughkeepsie NY.

It is centrally located and inexpensive, while being clean. The people are pleasant and helpful.
