Occasional guest and occasional employee too!
I began working here in 2004 and it is a beautiful inn. It is small, only 8 rooms, very clean and although it is a bed and breakfast, each room has a private entrance and a private bath. There is a small staff, each person has been employed at the Casa longer than me! Breakfasts and evening appetizers are made with attention to guest preferences and allergies. The rooms are clean and comfortable many rooms have jetted tubs and there is wireless access in all of the rooms, including the work-out room.
I have stayed here as a guest and I have had my family stay here when they come to visit, because it is the best place to stay! The grounds are beautiful and the staff is warm and friendly while also professional.
(No one is paying me for this review!)
I cannot find a way to contact Laura (who wrote the less than good review) personally to ask her if she is certain she stayed with us. There are other places in town with similar names, such as the Casa de Taos Motel. I do not know if their property is nice or not, but Laura certainly did not stay with us as our rooms are very clean, which is one reason for our 4-diamond AAA rating. Also, we do not have air conditioning, nor air conditioning vents to have kept her awake all night!
As an occasional employee and an occasional guest @ Casa de las Chimeneas I highly recommend this place!
