Over-rated with a view
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/23/08
A great location, right on the lake, but also right on the main road around the lake, so very noisy and crowded. Food was very average, but service was good. Over-priced for what we got, but I guess the view is supposed to make you forget about how much money you are spending for an average tourist experience. The room was very nice, but most rooms are right above the out-door deck and resturant, so it is always noisy; not a place to kick back and feel like you are in the peace of the mountains.

Great time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/23/07
We thought the rooms were great and the employees very friendly. The large wood fireplace in the room was a great added touch. We will go back.

cruel and unusual punishment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/07/06
We stayed a few nights at Sunnyside. It was a dreadful experience. Sunnyside is a hip lakeside restaurant and bar, with a nice view and OK food ..but the rooms are just an afterthought. We couldn't sleep - rooms facing the lake are just above the restaurant and bar - so they hear restaurant noise long into the early morning hours, and rooms alongside the parking lot suffer noise from cars and food and drink delivery trucks unloading (with engines running) at all hours. The continental breakfast buns and muffins were stale, and they ran out of coffee 15 minutes after the breakfast started. Clearly these people have no idea about how to offer hospitality to guests.

Go for drinks apres ski or apres lake...
By Lynn, 05/23/06
I love to go to Sunnyside for drinks in both winter and summer. I almost always just eat in the bar rather than the formal dining room. I get cravings for their seared ahi appetizer, and the fish tacos are also very popular. In the summer, eating the mahi mahi sandwich on the back deck is fantastic. It gets really crowded out there, so just enjoy the lake view and the fact that you were able to get a table because service might not be the fastest. Luckily you're in a place you'll want to linger! Also a great place to watch fireworks on July 4th.

A great Brunch
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/29/05
We were there this past Sunday for Easter Brunch. It was absolutely a great experience. While it was a little busy (full capacity), they were able to keep up marvelously. Drinks were always full, and the food was delicious. It was buffet style, but of really great caliber. We had prime riband ham at a carving station, eggs benedict, a fresh pancake & omlet bar, blintzes, fruit, etc. The views of the lake are spectacular.

Great place to sit outside on the lake, enjoy the sun, and good bar food and drinks.
