Great Time

The Inn was a really great expierence, it is situated in a perfect location within walking distance to all the shoppes and resturants. Upon arrival we were greeted by Jill who was so pleasant, personable and helpful. Our room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. I had the room with the jacuzzi which was great! I was really pleased with the pool the tempature of the room and the water couldn't have been any better. I'm thinking of returning in the summer

Convenient to MV and village

This is the second stay at this property; mostly because it is a 10 minute walk to the Steamship Authority shuttle to Woods Hole-MV Ferry. This very reasonable $69.00 room was clean and there is nothing negative to say about the room or the bed.Down-side...had to lug bags upstairs to room. The front desk girl was their best asset as she advised us on eateries and tourism. We've had better breakfast selections but it was adequate. Loved the town of Falmouth off-season and we walked to the town one night for dinner although it was somewhat dark- there were sidewalks. Good value!

Depressing and Creepy

This place is odd. I haven't seen a single person working here who looks over 18 and they're all foreign. I've got nothing against people coming here to work, least of all kids looking for an experience. But there is something that seems odd here. There is half decent furnishing and apart from being on the main drag the location is fine. But it's not clean - my blankets smelled terrible, I preferred to sleep cold than put them on me. There is mildew in the shower and the carpet is frayed. Breakfast is pretty dire- no water, some stale pastries and english muffin wannabes. I asked if there was bottled water since the vending machines were sold out. I got a strange look and told no. Supplemented with the sugary, fake OJ at breakfast. Would not recommend or stay here again, in spite of the fact we got a good rate.

Inn (just off) The Square

First, the name is a little misleading since this Inn is not actually on any square but is rather on the main drag, Hwy 28, and a 5 minute walk from the town square and all-too-precious Falmouth downtown. I'm afraid this is a run-of-the-mill family hotel, similar to Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express, with illusions of grandeur. As long as you enter with the right frame of mind, I think you will be pleased. At $120/night the value seemed reasonable to me, maybe even better than average. The room was clean. The mattress was a little saggy on one of the beds. The toilet took a couple of flushes to empty. On the plus side, it was very quiet and had a nice work desk.

Internet photos don"t reflect the conditon

While exterior photos depict a chaming Cape Cod renovated Inn a closeup look reveals a worn and some places shabby details such as base board bath tiles ungrouted and furniture missing formica edging. After a day sightseeing we returned to an uncleaned room. The front desk staff lack social skills required for dealing with guests. The four adults in our family had the same comment during the three days we were there. Finally, the breakfast room carpet was unvacuumed. While the pricing seems midrange the service and ammenities were not.

False advertising!

The hotel advertised newly renovated for 2007. The rooms were not freshly renovated. The bed covers had stains, the carpets and furniture had stains, the ceilings had patch jobs and were not newly painted. Our first impression of the room was that the beds did not have newly laundered sheets. The pillow shams were unbelievably wrinkled and old looking. We complained the room was smaller than the one pictured on the internet and were moved to a more spacious one. The hotel hallways had a very stale smell and were not air conditioned. Suffice it to say, pictures can be deceiving.

After stay headaches

We booked our stay through Priceline. We had a zero balance when we checked out. However, the hotel has since charged our credit card over $900 (4 separate transactions). We have had to contact them repeatedly to have credits issued to us for these unauthorized charges. We were told by their accounting department that when the reservation came from Priceline someone keyed our credit card number into another guest's information. We were told that our credit card information has been deleted from the system; however, we have been charged again. This has been dragging on for nearly 3 weeks (just when we think we're even, we get charged again). Needless to say, we wouldn't stay there again.

Nothing to rave about

Their continental breakfast was nice and was a fairly large selection. The fundamentals of the room are there and basically clean. For activities and events in the area it is a good location. However, we paid about $200 for our room and were expecting great service and extra amenities. Unfortunately, the hotel was understaffed and there were no amenities except for one lonely bottle of shampoo, soap, and coffee. The glasses in our room were dirty. The hotel is a bit older and walls are thin. We were in a room right by the front desk and heard everything from upstairs guests walking in their room and everyone to and from the front lobby. The night before, we stayed in a Best Western. In comparison, the only difference is nicer smelling carpet and better breakfast. It's alright for say $100 - $130/night. But anything more, it is not a value.

Committee Members Loved it!

My job sent me to MV for a meeting and the committee members and I stayed at this hotel. It wasn't the Ritz Carlton, but it was nice, comfortable, clean, close to everything and they had an INDOOR POOL!!!!

Very Nice

Not a lot of frills, but comfortable, GREAT location, very good continental breakfast. We have stayed there several times, and have not been disappointed. Also has excellent off-season rates.
